That chart run is laughable.

Even Avril Lavigne sold almost double.

Are you sure? Goodbye Lullaby sold 313k by January '12 (she wasn't promoting the album anymore).

thought it sold a little bit more but Lotus did awful. So did GL to be fair but perhaps they should collaborate??

It would have sold a lot less without black friday as well.

I think it will take several months for "Lotus" to top the 300K in US while 400K seems impossible ... I guess a Gold certification is out of sight.

and about "GL", I think both albums did pretty bad in US , however "GL" performed stronger than "Lotus" outside the US and passed the 1M mark WW. :wink:

Yes, the performance of 'Lotus" outside US is terrible. I don't know what will happen with her career in future but it don't look promising. 300K for 'Lotus" by the end of the year is possible (I'd say 50-50). My prediction is 260-270K by the end of the year.

IMO I think once Christina stops trying to be somebody she is not then she will find success again. She is really talented, writes good music and have a tremendous voice. I am sure we will see her agan in the top but it will be very hard if she keeps on copying other artists.
She should believe more in herself, her fans do.

Really?

"Not myself tonight" and several songs on her "Bionic" album sound dated like a 2006/2007 stuff, she was definately late with the sound of the album, it wasn't new or fresh.

"Your body" sounded like a 2009 dance song and a little bit "Ke$ha" style.

I don't think she copies other artists, but she is not being innovative or current in the music bussiness, and thats the problem, I think people expect major things from her. :roll:

She lost her vision, creativity and art in 2006/2007 after "B2B".

I am appaled by US radios to be honest, why did they pay jAF dust? I mean they are playing, Just Give Me A Reason, WIWYM, Stay etc...she needs to get radio on point

it's all about how the label and the artist's team promotes the single. RCA and Christina's team did not push the song because they don't care.

It's not like that.

US radio tends to overplay artists that are considered HOT in the moment. On the other hand, artists that are no longer considered HOT RIGHT NOW, have a hard time getting exposure. It's so difficult for acts that already had their peak to get radio exposure. Not just Christina...ask Mariah, Madonna or Janet fans.
