Ever since Mary released Be Without You, they all have failed here in the US. Even 'One' with U2. Now, I like some of them, but they just haven't gotten big. And Be Without you was 2005/2006 single. So, she hasn't had a US hit since April 2006. Now, her newest single still has a chance, but will it?

All of Rihanna's singles have gone top 20 in the US (excluding If It's Lovin' That You Want). So, she has a better chance of making it big this year.

I'm not saying I dislike or like any of the two better, but these facts are pointing out that Rihanna has better chane of being the bigger R&B/Hip-hop artist of 2008. (Don't Stop the Music is already top 10.)
sorry to stuck myself in you guys discussion, but... "We ride" was a single by Rihanna that failed to make the Top 20 too, and actually, it didn't even charted on the Hot 100

also, i don't think Rihanna is soooo "R&B/Hip Hop", she sounds much more Pop to me, and if i remember correctly, she's not THAT succesful on the R&B Charts
