The girls love performing... once you're away from that group for 10 years and you get a small taste of what it was like before- it's hard to let go again. I doubt this will be the end of the Spice Girls by any stretch.

Mel B's Blog wrote:I had an absolute blast being back in the UK. I didn't realise how much I'd missed it. One thing I didn't miss though is how the British press can be to people. They all need to be lovers not haters!
Had to roll my eyes at the headlines loud and true today on the newspapers.

Spice Girls split up because of arguments backstage.

This video is just hilarious

The Sun
THE SPICE GIRLS have split up again – after MEL C told them she has had enough.

The band have now pulled plans to take their reunion tour to Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina - and will play their final gig in Canada later this month.

Mel C had been locked in talks with bandmates VICTORIA BECKHAM, GERI HALLIWELL, EMMA BUNTON and MEL B over the band’s future.

But Sporty Spice does not want to continue so the girls have decided to call it a day.

Last night a Spice source revealed: “Geri and Victoria have been loving the attention and adulation the tour has been bringing the girls in the UK and North America.

“Mel B has really enjoyed being on stage and performing again. And Emma has found it hard with a young son but was prepared to carry on.

“But Mel C is the one who always insisted the reunion should be only short-term. Now she wants to go back to doing her own thing.

“Because they couldn’t all agree, the extra tour dates have been pulled. Touring has been harder on all the girls this time round. But all of them could have been persuaded to continue - apart from Mel C.”

The band yesterday announced their gig in Toronto on February 26 will be their last.
Sources said tour will comeback later in summer.

The Sun = The Scum, innit Star!

Everything they print is made up or exageratted.

It's unlikely Mel C would want to quit when the official statement is 'family and other commitments' she has her solo stuff which she is still doing while in the group. She's the only one who doesn't have children as well so I reckon it's not her.

I was reading fans reactions and people seem to think it was Mel B as she has a lot of offers in US after Dancing In The Stars, so she's probably wanting to pursue that plus her and Posh live in America.

I just wish they'd have put this together properly when they had no other commitments instead of rushing it all, would have been better to feel like they were really really back-ahh.

Whatever the reason I think it's pretty unfair and a wrong decision on part of the band. You shouldn't make false promises to fans, especially when the fans in question are as passionate as Spice Girls fans. In my opinion they should have kept their original schedule to go to the cities and countries which they had promised to go to instead of just forking out extra dates in the UK and US. If ANYTHING they could have done the global dates and then at the end played the 02 and Manchester doing as many sell-out dates as they wanted.

“It probably won’t happen ever again. I’m still absolutely blown away that we did more than one show. So right now I’m thinking this is it. This is the last time you will ever get to see this Girl Power, the five Spices on stage as one.”

Geri Halliwell, to Billboard, regarding the possibility of another Spice Girls reunion.

Looks fanmade to me, and even if it was real they'd have to take half the flags off that cover.

Funny. I think this whole thing failed because "Headlines" sucked. I listened to it about 20 times last year but cringe at the thought of playing it any more.

Whoever wrote it, they were arrogant and uncompromising, and spoiled one of my greatest cherished memories.

 Sorry I had to laugh at this!

In what way have they 'failed'?!! If u mean by having a 'comeback' then yeh they failed because it never was a comeback, just a 'hi, thank u and goodbye'!

Starting as a bunch of tour dates that grew and grew in demand and sold out in record time is hardly a failure. The fact that they are STILL in demand as even more fans are pissed off at not getting to see them doesn't make it a failure either. the Greatest Hits and Headlines were only an accompaniment to the tour so i'm sure they ain't crying over low sales. jesus, they weren't even gonna release a single so fans should be grateful they got one.

I'm confused - you know the places they promised to go too and then didn't go because of 'commitments after February' when were they planning to go to these places in the first place?

Unless it's because of the fact they put on so many London shows in December/January - in which case eeep...I feel luck to have seen them.

I can see it from their side though to them they did do quite well and put on some great shows, it's just a shame they had to let people down.

The Final Blog from the Spice Girls

Hello...

Our time is up... we've come to the end of the road… there are tears of both sadness and joy. Look how far we've come!

Who would have thought that our reunion could have turned out to be this amazing? It just shows what can grow out of an exciting thought, an idea, a hope, a dream. Yes, our reunion tour is proof that dreams do come true.

We have been lucky enough to have shared it with the most loyal fans in the world. Ten years on, you came back still wanting more… and it looks like we made some new friends along the way. You have inspired and ignited us with each show, the 47 that we performed, each time was amazing and it is thanks to you.

So we look to the future with hope and imagination and let Girl Power live on through all of you as it will continue in us and the future generations to come.

We have learnt so much through you and through each other.

"Never give up on the good times always believe in the love you find."

We hate goodbyes but sadly the time has come to take our final bow so maybe our song says it best:

"Goodbye my friend, it's not the end… So glad we made it, time will never ever change it… "

Mission Accomplished...

Love

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria

There will be no DVD release [Oh No They Didn't:x  ]
"The Spice Girls would like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to write and tell them just how much you enjoyed the Return Of The Spice Girls Tour. The girls worked really hard on the show, and hearing how much you loved it has made all of the work worthwhile!

Sadly there will not be a DVD release of the 47-date tour but the girls hope you were all left with some fantastic personal memories of the show.

Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria said “We had an absolutely amazing time on the Return of The Spice Girls Tour and we would like to say a final thank you for all of your support. Girl Power lives on.”"
