I'm a big sport fan, maybe bigger than a music fan ! And I'm also a Portuguese, so necessarly interested by the Euro 2008 8-)

Even if I'm a bit bored of medias resuming the team of Portugal at Ronaldo when they are so many huge players on it (Pepe, Carvalho, Bruno Alves, Bosingwa, Deco, Moutinho, Simao, Quaresma, Paulo Ferreira, Petit, Miguel Veloso, Nani etc). So sad we are missing a big scorer and goalkeeper, the rest of the team is perfect, maybe only a bit young.

Portugal are a bunch of divers lol - but they looked good v turkey- Moutino is class

As an Arsenal fan i should naturally support France, but i dont like Gallas and now Thierry (and Flaminimoney) has left i'm not too fussed. i hope Nasri and Ben Arfa end up at Arsenal. I cant see romania doing a senegal!!

Germany looked good and dangerous

i'd say fra 3 - rom 1
ita 1 - hol 2

you guys got fixtures wrong

Look!!

What do you mean by "divers" ? Their game against Turkey wasn't good. Nasri and Ben Arfa are weak, if they were Portugueses they shouldn't even be among the 23 players

well these portuguese players are massively built, they are strong yet the slightest touch and bang, they drop to the floor like they have been shot - i hope they fail as i dont like Nani - cant stand him. And in general i dont like portugues clubs as Porto and Sporting like to dive around to!

Saying that the greatest diver ever is robert pires (arsenal legend) - i remember when he kicked the portsmouth defender and won a penalty - if you are going to dive you have to have some class like pires did!

portugal v turkey they got the job done - their 2nd goal was good on the break and they hit the woodwork a few times, the margin could have been bigger

MJ you are like Robert Pires - his dad was portuguese making him half french/portuguese

Wenger will turn Nasri into the next Pires which would be great for arsenal - he is quick and and skillful - likes to shoot. Arsenal need goals from midfield. Apparently the deal with Marsailles is done for £12 million - after arsenal sell Hleb for 12 million.

My mother is Portuguese as well as my father, and I lived in Portugal so I'm not exactly like him ! I now understand the word 'divers' after checking its translation (it is misleading since the word 'divers' exists in French but with a totally different meaning - it means random/average, depending on the context).

Well, among the 23 players I can see only Ronaldo and Nani doing this. Players like Gomes, Moutinho, Simao, Petit and others don't fall alone. I guess each team as its player doing this (Malouda in France, even Nasri/Ben Arfa, a lot of Italians as well, Ravanelli was the king of all kicking himself to fall on the floor alone and get penalties!). Portugueses players aren't divers usualy when they got 23+ years old, but they explode very often really young and, consequently, immature.

FC Porto is a huge club, their team was incredible this year. They were eliminated by Schalke 04 which were far from their level but they got a very, very lucky goalkeeper over the 2 games. I think that out of the English teams the FC Porto was the best team of Europe this year, and one of the best since 5 years. Their level was higher this year than in 2004 but they wasted their opportunity to take a new European cup.

Today, France will win easily against Romania : it's the more frail team of the contest...

My team is FC Porto. The team changed a lot since 2003 ! Actualy, none player from the 2003 eleven still playing on the team

Lisandro Lopez, Lucho, Meireles, Sektioui and all others aren't divers, only Quaresma is some times. BTW, their victory in 2003 was fair, their team was the strongest of both (and some tacles from Celtic were a shame).

I'm born in France, but I do not think France will do something in the Euro 2008. I said the first surprise will come from Romania, and here it is, France play is weak.
