I don't think that's fair.Dalmatin wrote:a lot of rock music is crap too - indie turned into just a bonus to pop music, something for pop fans to feel like they listen to something more "serious" too. Scouring For Girls? Kooks? Nickelback? pop music

Thankyou! Also, because an artist doesn't write all of their songs, they are less crediblesambo9 wrote:Just because an artist or group doesn't play their instruments does not mean that they aren't "real" music.
I just think that if a singer doesn't write their own songs, then that's okay because they're still doing their job. A singer is a singer. Their voice is their instrument, and their talent is their vocals. They do not need to write or play an instrument to be a great singer.04wayne wrote:Thankyou! Complete bullsh*t IMO
This is a good point. Good actors aren't criticized for not writing their parts.sambo9 wrote:I just think that if a singer doesn't write their own songs, then that's okay because they're still doing their job. I think sometimes, people forget that music is supposed to be enjoyed, and as long as the music is good, then what's the problem?

Yeah, I agree here.Loose wrote:Should a model also sew her own clothes or what?
No. Parents just need to learn to control their kids.thelazyboy wrote:Like, for example, my opinion that everyone under the age of 18 should be thrown into a quarry and nuked.

But that could say a lot about your character, rather than just your parents' parenting techniques.jason2379 wrote:My parents could....so could anyone'sThriller wrote:But you can't always blame the parents. Yes, exactly. They can always try but the teens will always find ways around. Parents can only influence them the best they can, because once they get out of the house it's the teen who makes those choices based on who they are.gaz_uk wrote:But that could say a lot about your character, rather than just your parents' parenting techniques.jason2379 wrote:My parents could....so could anyone'sThriller wrote:But you can't always blame the parents. My parents were quite strict on me and my sisters when we were growing up and neither myself nor my sisters would ever disobey them because it just isn't in our character to do so. But I also know some kids who have had exactly the same type of upbringing but choose to rebel against their parents anyway.
I think that a lot of young people are more often influenced by their peers, rather than their parents.
You should see the kids in America! They stuff they do at 16 is appauling I think! The kids in Ireland arent half as bad (dunno if I can speak for England thoughThriller wrote:But you can't always blame the parents.
