They have bid 35 million for bervatov and 33million for robinho

The Abu Dhabi Royal family has just bought the club and is wasting money straight away!

Man City will still be midtable and Hughes will be sacked soon as well!

Is this the topic for the season in general then? Really happy with how it's going so far... brilliant for Liverpool winning at United today as a) I much prefer the Pool, b) they won't maintain a season long title threat IMO like United will.

Hoping City can get some sort of result against Chelsea today as again, despite the money pumped into the club, they've only made the one big signing to my knowledge and Hughes has said they won't be spending like loonies in January, so don't think they'll be frontrunners come season end, while Chelsea will.

OH.. Van Persie has just knocked one in at Blackburn! Come on you gooners!

good to see Arsenal back on form

Van Persie is amazing

WENGER knows what he is doing

Glad to see Man Ud Lose

Liverpool are not serious challengers as their team is poor. Let them set the pace for now.

Its all about Arsenal, United and Chelsea

Chelsea were very impressive today v Man City

Man City will do nothing

Its always great to see Newcastle suffer

I actually see it as a Chelsea/Arsenal race.. I know it's stupid to discount Man United in any season, but I don't know.. I just have a feeling they'll miss out...

Loving Hull City's work so far! Obviously they won't challenge for a Champo spot (though it would be hilarious if they kept one of the big four from it) but I hope they keep their good string up so they are guaranteed safety sooner rather than later.

Wenger has said in the papers today he believes Man City will be up there around the top 4 this season and that they, Portsmouth or Tottenham could give the top 4 a shock in terms of Champions League position.

Personally I'd prefer Spurs stay right where they are

And go on Adebayor staking his claim for golden boot already! Ten more of them please my son!

Oh, and Ste... you knows I'm right!

Ooh. Also interesting to see that depsite him not doing alot for the club, Keegan is an absolute god, there've been protests up at Newcastle all the time, again before the Hull match on Saturday.

They HATE Mike Ashley and Dennis Wise, but love 'King Kev'. Apparently Ashley wants to sell the club for 400million. Considering the fact Keegan went back for talks with Ashley after his resignation, I guess the big question is whether the owner will bring in a new manager (apparently Paul Ince would leave Blackburn for the job, maybe just a rumour) and then sell, or sell up and leave the way for Keegan to have talks with the new owners, which the Toon fans would probably much prefer!

Arsenal are 6/1 at ladbrokes! Now that is amazing odds for such a strong side.

Oh for all the money Spurs spend they will be lucky to finish in the top 10!!

We were top of the league for a few hours - that's without Gerrard and Torres! I think we have a good chance this year, I hope we suprise you!

It's ironic really - I think Ashley shot himself in the foot by appointing King Kev in the first place! I don't understand Newcastle fans. Their expectation is so high despite the fact they have never been a big club and never will be. :-? I think Mike Ashley has ballsed it up big time though.

Ashley can save the situation,if he is a true Newvastle fan then he can reinstate King Keven and give him full power of the team,is that not what a manager is supposed to have??

Oh poor Spurs, all that money spent and now they are facing a avoid relegation battle, they should have never got rid of Jol.

Actually Newcastle should have never got rid of Bobby Robson!

Loving Tottenham's start to the season! And United's for that matter, how they both keep up 'the good work'

Ashley isn't going to reinstate Keegan now, not after having talks and then them falling through. He'd look weak if he stayed and took Keegan back now. He'd still be really disliked, not a hero.

They should have never sacked Martin Jol.

I think they have gone backwards by selling arguably their best 3 forwards, but they will survive - there must be some money in the kitty somewhere.

Well done Hull,no wonder they are called the Tigers!!

All these big spending teams and their sugar daddies!!

Yes i just love Hull!!

Imagine being a Spurs fan!!

I'd much rather be a Newcastle fan than that over spending London club who pay their manager 5 million a year!

Yes Hull! I literally don't care they've gone back above us (Arsenal), it's SO refeshing to see and I'm not concerned that they'll still be there by the years end, I think they will finish around 6th or 7th. Great to watch though!

And YES STOKE! Tottenham couldn't even beat the one team also doing terribly in the league,
