Hello and welcome to the 2009 Edition of the popular UKMIX feature 'Reasons to Like'. This has been done twice before by me, in 2004 and 2005 - so I think it's high time we started saying nice things about each other again!

The first time this ever happened, people were wary about whether we COULD keep negativity out of the topic, and it was due to the maturity of our members that we managed to have a really nice thread where people could appreciate others saying the things that made them smile about other members.

I'd like this year to be much the same. If you don't have anything nice to say about the person in question, please just remain silent, everyone will respect you much more!

So the only rules to tell you of are that every couple of days I will post the name of one of the UKMIX members, and you have to say what it is that you like about that person. It could not be simpler!

This time around rather than picking at random, I'm going to start with the member with the most posts and work my way down through the list, doing every person who is still a regular here!

So, what are your reasons to like our very own TIGER?

I'll start being Maaian's favorite buddy

Maaian is a really cool dude, good sense of humor, he's sent me a lot of music I adore still today. He listens to J-pop, which automatically bumps him up on my list. And my convos with him on MSN with Ryan are always fun, I miss them!

As a moderator, he is very fair and not biased. There's not much you could say negative about him.

Yeah Maaian is one of my favourite posters on UKMix, and one of only 6 who I've given my msn too. I think he's a wonderful person (from what I can see) with a genuine love of all things music. The sheer volume Personal Charts that he comments are astounding and his moderating is very on point and fair!

Because I feel he is a brilliant authoritative figure, who one can look up to, and yet have a good conversation with as well. I think his music taste is fantastic, and I think his wide knowledge of pop music is very helpful for UKMix. I think he's shaped the forums greatly over the years. If he were to leave, we would never forget him.

Maaian is part of the furniture here really! He's very reliable, always helping to run features and the like, he has a diverse taste in music from the purest pop music to the darker rock bands, he's always spending time commenting on other people's charts and is one of the most good-natured members of the site, in my professional opinion!

Maaian... well, he's just too nice, isn't he? always.. and I mean it, ALWAYS commenting on every damn little personal chart, for every newcomer. if there's one comment, you'll be sure it's his. and he does it just because he's nice, because he cares, because he wants people to feel good about themselves. how often do you see that these days?
gotta love Maaian, even if sometimes he's too distracted by all those UKMix things to properly talk on MSN

What's not to like about Maaian?

He's always been one of the most friendly UKMIXers since I've been around, and someone I've always enjoyed talking to on MSN. He's one of the main reasons why I keep coming back to UKMIX time after time!

Reasons to like Maaian? Where on earth do I begin?

Absolutely ace person, and just as cool in person as on the forums/MSN. Always incredibly loyal to personal charts - often if he didn't reply no-one would! All round a really nice guy who wouldn't say a bad word about anybody!

Oh, and a shame you're only doing people who are still actively posting! Would be fun for the 10 year anniversary for us oldies to comment on those who have gone before us!

Maybe after we've exhausted the list! I think it's more important to celebrate those who are here now and are forces on the forums but relatively new than it is to comment on forum 'ghosts' who will likely not even see!

Maaian - an all round nice guy, always there to talk to on MSN (when I sign in once a year or so ), he likes POP! He likes EUROVISION, he likes SWEDISH POP... he's funny, he does has his fair share of PC geniusness too! I've known him for over seven years now and he has a keen interest in other people's charts too!

Tiger is great! He like's pop after all. Very neutral poster, level-headed and down to earth. Other than that he's just a really nice poster and I enjoy reading his posts.

Yeah..my impression of Tiger has always been that of a broad-minded, warm welcoming and encouraging person. Its nice to have him around.

Maiaan is just a legend on this forum.

He is definately one of my favourite members. I think it is so kind of him to post comments on EVERYONE's personal charts...even if their music taste is not compatible. The amount of time that takes must be long but he is a star for doing it.

His posts are so mature...i love reading the comments he makes in some threads.

His moderation is on point too...and well done to him and FreakyFlyBry for keeping the Survivors tidy!

My reasons to like him is because he respect the other members and this is obvious from his comments on our personal charts. He seems to care and thats pretty cool.
