Madonna just has a solid fanbase that will support no matter how good (or bad) her material is.

JT did nothing for Madonna's career! He did however make JJ look like an idiot!!! Hope Janet can sing a song about it... and feature Britney on it :lol:

I love Janet's work with Jam & Lewis, BUT they haven't had a hit with anyone for a LONG time. Darkchild mentioned that he wanted to work on Janet's next project, so if he can give some tracks and maybe The Dream too since a lot of his material would be perfect for Janet, then I would be happy.

I hope JD stays completely clear of this, some of his contributions to Discipline were horrid.

It also took me ages to appreciate Rollercoaster, but I love it now! There is a reason that the 3 Darkchild tracks were tracklisted as the first 3 on that album.

Back to the initial point. That Top 3 did sh!t for her sales! The artist, label and distributor and not in it for the charts! Its all about the money at the end of the day. Biz is biz!

Janet Jackson is currently in negotiations for her own record label under the umbrella of Live Nation. Janet Jackson who owns Black Doll may also carry over the name for her record label.
The first album to be released is under works and is expected to drop in the summer of 2009; this year. There will be some new material and some unreleased older material on the first release to support the continuation of her tour that will probably be renamed to promote the newer material.
Rehearsals for the tour will start back up in June of this year and the first stop is in Amsterdam. There are a lot of heavy weight negotiations taking place at the time so it is impossible to give any further specifics about Janet's tour or record label other than it will start back (the tour that is) this summer and the record label will most likely be her own label under the umbrella of Live Nation. The motto is, "we have to think big and for the long haul." This is only the beginning!
