The Special One - 8 years without losing a game at home

With the victory of Inter over Lecce (1-0), Jose Mourinho achieved his 100th game in a row without losing on the stadium of his own team - He achieved that over 3 teams, FC Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

The last time he lost a game at home was in February 2002 against Beira Mar with the FC Porto - That day, his team ended the game with only 9 players due to 2 red cards. Since that match, he tied or won every game he played at home.

Yes, only league games. Since he lost with Beira 2-3 in Feb 2002, he has the following stats:

W : 84
D : 16
L : 0
GF : 220
GA : 51

Those results are insane :o

This is just my opinion, but this gentleman is the greatest manager in the world, league wise. He is just....awe inspiring! When we lost him at Chelsea, I was not amused. A true legend

I was checking his stats when he first become a professional manager, in 2000, they were already astonishing.

He managed Benfica for 9 games only (he retired after a change of president). At home, he played 5 games, wining 4 of them (including 3-0 against the rival Sporting) and registered a draw on the last one. His team scored 12 goals and suffered only 4.

Just after that, always in 2000-2001, he moved to Uniao Leiria, which isn't supposed at all to be a big Portuguese team. He started with 3 draws in a row at home and then won 6 out of the 7 last games, defeating again Sporting, this time by 2-0. On those 10 games at home, his team suffered barely 3 goals, scoring 12. The team ended the league ranked 5, their best result ever.

Joining FC Porto on January 2002, he registered 3 victories and 1 draw until the lost 2-3 against Beira Mar (when his team ended with only 9 players). We know the story after that defeat, 100 games and 6 years in a row without a single defeat.

To resume, he managed 5 teams on 3 different leagues, played 118 games losing only 1, with 20 draws, wining the others 97.

Just to say that since he reached the 100 games mark, he played 13 more League games at home, winning 9 of them, 4 draws, still undeafeated

Italian League games at home

Wins: 19
Draws: 7
Lost: 0

Up to 124 games in a row without losing, three more months and that will make 8 years since his last (and only) defeat at home.

Another Epic game won by Mr Mourinho. Against the rival AC Milan, which also happen to big the hottest team of the moment in Italy (12 points out of 12 in 4 games, 2 goals against, 14 scored). Despite a first red card at minute 27 and a second with 5 additional minutes to play, making Inter playing with 9 players against 11, plus a penalty for AC Milan, Inter ended the game winning by 2-0, goals from Milito and Pandev.

The Classic coach has now not loose a league game at home for 8 years! 128 in a row.

Mourinho's amazing unbeaten run in home league games finally came to an end with Madrid's 0-1 defeat to Gijon on saturday! It stretched back over 9 years!
