"Push the Feeling On" lyrics

Postby deluxe » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:16 am

Well, it seems this tune will always be a mistery.

The Nightcrawlers did a normal version, kinda soul/house with some nice lyrics: (Find 'em as follows)

If you're feeling underpressure
and something has been on your mind
you gotta have yourself a good time
take a look and you just might find

Pushin' it on, it on, it on
Pushin' it on, it on, it on
Pushin' it on, it on, it on
I'm pushin' it on!
(... it on, it on)

Let me hear you

Time has been hard for you baby
this I know, this I know!
But if you look you will find
that is just a matter of time
before the rhythm gets into you
you you, ehy!

Pushin' it on, it on, it on
Keep pushin'...
Pushin' it on, it on, it on
Keep pushin', keep pushin...
Pushin' it on, it on, it on
Keep pushin' it on...

I'm pushin' it on!
(... it on, it on)

Let me hear you!
--------
In some versions of the song after the singer says 'Let me hear you...' you can get the chorus that until today, nobody is able to understand.

The most common played version, mainly used by DJs is The Nightcrawlers - Push the Feeling On (MK Dub Revisited) and a Remix made around 2000.

These versions have no lyrics apart from the actual sample we all love.

That sample is a cut from an unused track, wich has effects on it to even hide the words even more. It just sounds good.

Those lyrics are:

'And those who suffer pain, will begin to live their Lives again.
And this world will be a place to learn, but its up to you, to pull us through'

It's a **** amazing tune, that's what it is.... lets keep enjoying it!

Re-sampled Lyrics -
"Their Lives again / Their Li / to pull us through" (Main Loop Throughout Song)

This explanation makes the most sense to me. I think the "urn" noise is just that - a noise rather than a lyric.

What made me bump this topic is that the 1995 release it at #70 on iTunes at the moment 8-)

Having listened to the tune last night ive worked out the lyrics. The mix of the song is by MK aka Marc Kinchen. I have another remix by him which is m people - moving on up (Mk's Movin Mix) and he has chopped the vocals around in this mix too. For example - the moving on up lyrics go 'just who do you think you are? stop acting like, some kinda star' and the chops up version goes something like - 'star, stop acting your ...ar....stop acting your ..ar etc

anyways the nightcrawlers tune goes:

earn (last part of the word learn in the lyrics to original, listen and youll see)

''earn....their lives again
earn....their live pull us'' looped

the bit where it sounds like hes singing in is just vocal delay effects. all part of making the vocal sound different and interesting. hope this settles the issue.

There's been a lot of bumping going on lately indeed!

As has already been stated in this thread, the lyrics in the original 1992 release go as follows:

"And those who suffer pain, will begin to live their lives again.
And this world will be a place to learn, but its up to you, to pull us through."

The "earn" is from the word "learn", chopped off after the "L" sound - obviously ;-)

Giving us:
earn
live their lives again
earn
live their lives
to pull us
earn
...etc

"Their lives are full of sperm "

"They lie to pull us through"

"Their life is up to you"

The lyrics match with the original video from a point of view.

The lyrics don't make sense on their own, they're cut up from the 1992 release.
Original Lyrics -
"And those who suffer pain, will begin to live their Lives again.
And this world will be a place to learn, but its up to you, to pull us through."

Re-sampled Lyrics -
"Their Lives again / Their Li / to pull us through" (Main Loop Throughout Song)
"Place to learn / Their Liv / its up to you" (Secondary Loop)

Hello
maybe a lame question, but aren't the words from the original version these ones?
---
push it, let's push it!
push the feeling on!
push it let's it!
can't keep movin' on!

push it let's push it!
push the feeling on!
(ooouuoooow)
push it let's push it!
can't keep movin' on!
(chorus)
---

from video version

couldn't resist to be a bit artistic on the chorus :D

However crazy it seems... and I can't believe it myself frankly... it does seem like these six people are genuinely six different people at different times coming to discuss this topic. :o

Either that, or someone using good IP-hider software.

Has anyone heard the new Player&Ramady mix?
I suppose this is the best version till date. Very tight, very Electro.

What I can make out from this version is:

The lies said again, the lies you put us through.

The lies you put us through (3)
Yeah (Echo), the lies you put us through
The lies you put us through (3)

The lies said again, the lies you put us through.

I hope this helps :p

This truly is *the* thread for UKMix One Hit Wonders.

And no...

The original lyrics STILL ARE:

"And those who suffer pain, will begin to live their lives again.
And this world will be a place to learn, but its up to you, to pull us through."

These lyrics are then cut up, chopped, and mashed together. So what you heard as "lies" is actually only part of the world "lives" from the original lyric...etc etc etc ad infinitum.

Screw me
Life ain't get on, me
Life's gonna screw me

may sound morbid but that's what I hear

I love the fact that this discussion is now several years old. I just watched the video again. The tune has aged so well, a genuine classic. I always thought the lyrics were ...

'You lied again, you lied you foolish woman'

...but I prefer some of the suggestions already proferred here :D
