I CAN smell 2009’s single of the year brewing already.

Grammy-nominated Brit female stars ADELE and ESTELLE look set to collaborate on a track.

Both have expressed an interest in working together — and now Estelle has told how a duet with Chasing Pavements star Adele would be “dope”.

The pair are now settling down to finalise their new albums with each other’s names at the top of their collaborations wish lists — so expect a tune from the talented pair next year.

Estelle started work on her new collection this month.

She said: “I’m really excited to start working on my next album.

“I’m going to go totally left field and surprise a lot of people.

“I’m going to hit it out the ball park with this one. I’m thinking a mix of COLDPLAY and MARVIN GAYE.”

Sounds like the only thing Adele and Estelle have to thrash out is which album the duet appears on.

It sounds like a surefire smash to me.
Can not wait! I really hope the quality of this album will be as high as 'The 18th Day' and 'Shine'! And she's taking a different direction!
Can't wait!

I'm glad she's doing one, I hope it's handled a bit better, we need an album with more than one hit single. I was thinking today how much winning the Mercury would have helped her out, but hey. I'm very excited :D

Well a new track has leaked called "Star".
You can already see that she is taking a more commercial direction. The song is a dancey/funky/european sounding track.
It sounds great!
Here is a MQ youtube link...but I have a HQ version.

It's a great song! Unfortunately it's 'exclusive' for the new Crystal Light Advert:( . I don't know if it'll be on the new album or not. It's a change of direction though!

I agree... the album could have been a hit with the right single choices at the right time, sadly this album didn't have that. :(

Looking forward to her third album, she's not disappointed at all so far.

I listened to it the other day and really enjoyed it!

Anyone heard 'Superstition' (Stevie cover) she's done for Warchild? It's on iTunes, not got it yet but wasn't that fond of the clip, hoping I'll like it more in its entirity!

Both her albums have been brilliant - I loved 1980 but Go Gone...wow, that was my TCHOON back in the day. I was weary about her sophomore, but "American Boy", "Shine", "In the Rain", "More than Friends", "Come Over" (both the original and the remix) made me love her just as much, if not more, than her debut.

On this album, I'd like to see her work with some American industry peeps - Kanye, Cee-Lo, Pharell, John Legend, Akon, Tank, Raphael Saadiq. The collaboration with Adele sounds hot, and I would love it if her collabo with Solange could finally see the light of day. Alot of sexy soulful stuff, but also some uptempos and pure british hip-hop; I will be very disappointed if she stops rapping and just sticks to singing.

As well as the Adele collaboration it seems she's done a song with The Ting Tings too.

Meanwhile, the singer says she is 'four or five' songs into her new album and has cemented her collaboration with the Ting Tings. She is also set to join Lily Allen, Elbow and Scissor Sisters on the new War Child: Heroes album.

British singer ESTELLE is eyeing a musical collaboration with rocker LENNY KRAVITZ.
The American Boy hitmaker was introduced to Kravitz at a party where she was performing and the pair discovered a mutual appreciation for each other's work.
And now Estelle is eager to step into the studio with the Fly Away singer.
She says, "He was a big fan of mine and I was a big fan of his, so it was cool to finally meet him. I'm hoping Lenny and I will work together on some tracks in the future."

Keri Hilson is writing for Estelle's album! :D
Hilson, whose new single 'Return The Favor' is expected to chart in the top 20 on Sunday, also revealed that she is currently writing songs for Estelle.

"I'm supposed to work on something for Estelle and I'm very excited about that because I'm a huge fan of hers," she said.

Warryn Campbell, who produced "Homecoming" (Kanye ft Chris Martin) and "Shackles" (MaryMary), twittered her a few days back, saying he sent her two tracks :D He's a great producer, done stuff for Missy, Mario and others, so should be HOT :D

You have no boundaries when it comes to music, what are you experimenting with for the upcoming album?
I can’t move too far away from reggae because I love that, and I can’t move too far away from hip hop, but I have this whole new genre I’ve developed, which is kind of Marvin Gaye and Coldplay combined. It doesn’t make sense on paper but when you hear it you’ll be like, “Aw yeah!” I have this one song called “Time Away” and it sounds like ’50s Motown and then it goes into a guitar-heavy chorus. I went on tour with The Roots and Gym Class Heroes, and it was the best of all worlds—you had me doing R&B, The Roots doing soul, and Gym Class Heroes and their crowd. I want to do that, I want to be able to cross over to all different audiences and all the different genres.
