Doing another thread on the Worldwide sales of Brandy Norwood. Just wondering what her total sales are. Need help and would like a breakdown for the sales.

From what I'm hearing:

Brandy- 6 million
Never Say Never- 14 million
Full Moon- 3 million
Afrodisiac- 1 million
Human- N/A

Never Say Never sold 14 million records (albums and singles) not albums, it sold around 8 million.

USA: 5.5M or 6M
cANADA: 400.000
jAPAN: 400.000
MALAYSIA: 15.000

Never Say Never -- the second album from the Grammy Award-winning singing/acting sensation Brandy -- has been certified quintuple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for U.S. sales in excess of 5 million copies, according to a spokesperson. The album, which was released on June 4, 1998, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and yielded the chart-topping double-platinum duet with Monica, "The Boy Is Mine."

With her latest certification, Never Say Never has surpassed the RIAA quadruple-platinum achievement of Brandy's critically acclaimed 1994 debut, Brandy.

The quintuple-platinum certification of Never Say Never coincides with Brandy's Grammy Award nomination in the best female R&B vocal performance category for her single "Almost Doesn't Count." She made the top 20 in the list of top pop artists of the '90s, and the top 15 in R&B/hip-hop artists of the '90s, as ranked in Billboard's 1999 year-end issue.

On the international front, Never Say Never received the following certifications: quadruple-platinum certification in Canada; double-platinum in Japan; platinum in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa; and gold in the U.K., Ireland, Germany, France, Denmark, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

so much when reading this.

Her singles have sold WAY less, and the album sales figures are ridiculously high (especially for NSN, I wonder why you claim 14.000.000, maybe because you love wikipedia right?).

IMO her sales are seattleboy's estimates and I was just kidding for Afrodisiac, it's at 1.000.000, even though I absolutely adore this album.

BH atleast sold 0.5 million. It is certified Gold. Top of the World was a worldwide hit and certified Gold in the UK. RH(D) has been on the Frech charts for 30 weeks now. It was doing wellin Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Japan and Germany. And it soldalmost 0.5 in the US alone.

By the waz her official website says 25 million ALBUMS sold so -- 14 mil for NSN plus 6mil for Brandy plus 4mil for FM plus 1mil for Afrodisiac is TWENTYFIVE million. Now take the singles with about 10 milion additional sold units and zou have 35 million records sold. Not taking TBOB and VH1Divas into consideration. So at least 30 million if not 35.

Her sales are much lower. Your sources are fanclub ones and are not based on official cliams. If you want to convince people then you should add sales from the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia etc and estimate a total.

Pleasureandpain, I'm probably one of the BIGGEST Brandy STANS but you have GOT to KNOW that the sales you've posted are inflated. There is NO way NSN sold 5 million in Europe. Or 1 million is NZ or Oceania. The certification levels have been posted in this thread.
You should really do some SERIOUS searching for valid information. :wink:

Europe: Germany: #86, sales=1.000, was also release in france, UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Austria but failed to chart in any of those countries. Sales of the album in Europe must be around 20.000 (very limited release)

I don't think it sold 300,000 in the US. It debuted at #27 and sold 26,000.

'Never Say Never' was certified 2x Platinum in Japan when Platinum was 200,000. 400,000 in Japan.

'Never Say Never' did at least 5.5 million in the US with record club sales. It scanned 4.5 million and sold 665,000 through BMG (as of 2003). I put her at 16.5 million worldwide, she's certainly sold no more than 17 million albums worldwide, regardless of whatever trumping up her label does to her figures.
