Electric storm rules! but so does last night on earth, maybe she should release a double A side, that would be a killer combination, and would probably boost her album sales too, so she would re-think re-releasing it :D love you delta!

Delta Goodrem has new Single 'mistaken identity' released may 2005, the video will have its premier on mtv Monday 18th April, the rumours of a re-release are false, as peeps may notice she released 2 editions of mistaken identity, one with a dvd and one without. I have the dvd version released as a digipak.

A new album is on the cards, however wont be released til November this year. Tracks are currently being recorded. Wait and c what happens.

:-? New album so soon already? Seems exciting, but I hope it doesn't have that rushed quality to it or something. I dunno, it seems commercially suspicious that all these artists like Girls Aloud and Delta Goodrem are recording new albums because their sophomore efforts unfortunately fell into the supposed "slump." I guess they all just wanna recover the glamorous ground that they've cherished in their debuts, but I hope their recording new material doesn't take away from their quality and potential. I know Delta can do better than "Mistaken Identity," but that album was already strong enough already. I mean it's not the best pop/rock album out there, but it's not bad either. Some songs are standout gems, but some are just more graceful filler. Hopefully she might still consider releasing "Electric Storm" like a lotta people hope for becaues it'd be the next catchiest track in line.

Unfortunately we still have to wait for it to be available for a reasonalbe price over in U.S./Canada. When will record companies learn that most people are not willing to pay $40 for one CD??

I found the album in the mail today!
Bought it from cdwow.com for only 4 euro!

This is such a great album, I'm happy I can finally add it to my collection. I also [b]love[b] the cover.

Oh
This album is my favourite from my favourite artist, with my favourite cover from my favourite artist
Pop masterpiece

But it's sad the singles chosen weren't the best. Electric Storm would have deserved a release, same for Last night on earth, and Be Strong, with a proper release.
In fact, she could have released 8 singles from this album

I'm totally in love with Delta lately. I've always loved 'Innocent Eyes' (album) and the songs I've heard from 'Mistaken Identity' and 'Delta', but now I find myself listening to her songs all the time. She's just genius and I can't believe I underestimated her all these years.

I love her voice, it's so soft, yet so powerful. The songs are very deep and some parts of the lyrics are almost poetry:

when I get lost in fantasies in a cartoonland of mysteries..

Rewind and erase that shock look on your face, 'cause your Mona Lisa is dead

I LOVE it!

'Mistaken Idenitity' has so many good songs on it. The titletrack is amazing. So are 'Out Of The Blue', 'Last Night On Earth', 'Electrical Storm' and 'Extraordinary Day'. Even 'Almost Here' sounds so good now, while I could never appreciate it.

I think Delta gained a new fan. :)
I'll have to order the 'Delta' album soon and I'm already anticipating her follow up!

Exactly, I had always imagined a very impressive cinematic video for this.

And Last night on Earth is one of my favourite songs ever!

I have always loved Delta! I've became fan since Lost without you, My Favorite album has to be Innocent Eyes (besides the singles Longer & My Big Mistake are Wow);

Sadly this is my least favorite album, I can't find so many songs to relate to, though I loved electric storm, almost here and others, but still musically I think it her weakest (lyrically it just as amazing as the other two albums).

Really can't wait for the next album, waiting for some new style, Delta (the album) WAS so Great!

I expected an amazing video for 'Mistaken Identity' but I'm not that keen on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blPsdEvF2F0. Nothing can top her video for 'Believe Again' though.

This album is really more personal than Innocent Eyes and Delta so, obviously, it's more difficult to relate to its songs. But that's what this album is my favourite. I mean, this is a part of her story, and whatever we say, we all know some electric storms in our lives, the sensation to lose somebody...
It's darker, that is true, but I will be more easily concerned by these lyrics, than the lyrics of "Woman", for example

By the way, concerning the musics, it's just a question of tastes, so I totally understand your point of view. But this disc makes me think about the fact that Tori Amos has always been an inspiration for Delta. And I think we really feel this, in this disc.

Concerning Electric Storm, I'm totally ok with Blinkinglight. it's a shame we didn't have a 8 minutes clip
I used to dream of a dual A Sides : Electric Storm / Last night on earth. Oh gooood !

(Erm, sorry for the mistakes I guess ^^)

I never knew Delta released an officil video for The Analyst?
It wasn't a single, was it? Maybe released on dvd or deluxe edition of something?

I also love the video for 'Flawed'. Where was that released? Japan?

Flawed was her first single in Japan, from the hybrid album Innocent Eyes (which, in fact, contained songs from Mistaken Identity too). I heard the songs peaked at #2 in Japanese Ringtones Top (which is very important there), because it was the title track of a film called Adantium Blue, which told the story of a young girl who learned she had cancer.
Delta is kind of popular now, in Japan (for a foreigner singer).

The video for The Analyst (pretty simple, but I like it), was made to be in the background of the song, on her Visualise Tour shows ;)

Can't remember where that video was released, maybe a dvd, but I'm sure that Flawed was released in Japan only

We wish  Leaving those songs unreleased was a crime!

Very understated video. I think she might've been considering releasing 'The Analyst' as a single, I remember she performed it on Top Of The Pops or something.

I think she just wanted to introduce songs from the upcoming album :)
(But maybe it was due to be a single. I can't exactly remember but I'm sure I read somewhere they did not want to release Almost Here in Australia, so maybe The Analyst was the third single)

By the way, this song is really good, and I remember how happy I was to see her with this haircut, she was so gorgeous, so "full of life"

It's just a shame that she only released OOTB and AH in the UK. She could've milked it a bit more. I suppose she wouldn't have wanted to with the press backlash she was getting from her relationship with Brian.

That's it :)
She decided to stop the promotion due to her "image" there.
It's a shame she didn't even release it in France, though

I heard that 'In This Life' was going to get a release here. Guess that never happened.
I was thinking the other day, it's been 4 years since Delta released a single here. So sad. She's one of my favourite artists. :(
