About Christina's ww sales:

I remember Sony BMG/RCA wrote that she's sold 23 million records before Stripped. Must be: 13 million for debut album, 1,5 for Christmas album, 2 million for Mi Reflejo and 7 million singles (3 million in the US alone: 1,4 m GIAB, 600k COOB, 500k WAGW and 400k ITTY; 900k in the UK including 600k for GIAB; 300k for GIAB in Germany, 250k in France for GIAB etc.)

Then the number "40 million" surfaced before Stripped got released which seems about right if you add 10 million for Stripped and around 3,5 million for its singles and Lady Marmalade + Nobody Wants To Be Lonely.

Back To Basics brought about 9 million sales (almost 4 million album and over 5 million singles) and KGB: ADOH era almost 2 million.

She's definitely at 50 million ww. And now I'll stop.

I've seen the WorldWideAlbums.net estimations too.

How do you know the album sold 350k in Canada? We only know about the shipment 300k copies.

I remember i read it was certificated platinum for more than 95 k!

It has spent around a year on the Italian top 100 albums chart and it peaked at #3 (for 2 o 3 consecutive weeks)!

Christina has sold over 25 million albums
so i belive the 4.3 for b2b
If her own lebel say that B2B sales are 3.7 why you have to believe that it is 4.3

Stop adding extra sales to B2B. It has sold 3.7 million and the proof is here:

Stop using www.worldwidealbums.net/ sales, this site is not official, it is like mediatraffic.

Thanks!

If MJD's estimation of shipments is 105k for B2B in Italy, then it must've sold over 80 or 90k for sure. He has estimated 175k in Canada but the album is 3xP there (300k) but then again the 1,9 million for US is most probably too much. Does anyone know if B2B has a certification in Mexico? Edit: Just checked and it's not certified in Mexico.

I really don´t understand this people that make estimations all the time.

HER OWN LEVEL say that B2B sales are over 3.7 million and total album sales are over 25 million. We all love Christina but please, Why all of you overestimate her sales?

Don't you know the difference between "real" sales and shipments? MJD estimated the shipments.

CAN WE GET AN AGUILERA ENCORE?

Keith,

Christina Aguilera is one of my favorite artists. I was wondering if you can help me find out why she has not released any other singles off her latest album "Back to Basics." I was surprised that she only released three singles off the album, especially because it is a two-disc album.

Thank you for your help.

Gabe
New York

Hi Gabe,

RCA Records, Christina Aguilera's record label, didn't elaborate as to why there will be no further singles promoted to radio in the U.S. from "Back to Basics." Perhaps it has something to with the lackluster performance of the set's second and third singles? While the album's lead track, "Ain't No Other Man," reached No. 6 on The Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the CHR/Top 40 radio airplay chart, the follow-ups didn't do as well.

"Hurt," a ballad, peaked at No. 19 on the Hot 100 and No. 10 on the CHR/Top 40 chart. The uptempo throwback "Candyman" stopped at No. 25 on the Hot 100 and No. 23 on CHR/Top 40.

"Back to Basics" has sold 1.6 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her previous effort, 2002's "Stripped," has shifted 4.1 million.
First, this seems to be a question from 2007 and there were no more singles more like because she was pregnant at that time. B2B left the BB 200 chart with 1,57 million and by the time this question's been asked it sold 1,6 m (so another 30k). The 4,1 million refers to Stripped.

And look, from the catalog chart:

August 5, 2007

60 RCA 153 155 129 AGUILERA*CHRISTINA STRIPPED 2,024 9 1,865 4,125,540

Because like others, I was following her sales through the B2B era and I remember the album finally hitting the 4M mark.

Yes Sony has her at 3.7M, but her sales add up to more.

The 25 million figure is also from 2003/2004 while she's over 30 million now. Why can't they update it as well?
