http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/105711/Fierce-for-Keisha-/FORMER Sugababe Keisha Buchanan has promised to get fierce when she drops her debut solo album.
The 25-year-old pop angel made her first red carpet appearance since being booted out of the girl trio at Michael Jackson’s This Is It film premiere in London.
She told Playlist’s James Cabooter, pictured above with Keisha: “I’ve been away taking a break from things but writing new songs.
“I’ve got no firm plans yet, just been re-evaluating things, but I want to come back with something fierce when I do. I’m just looking forward.”
One man who could be help K get fierce is old pal Taio Cruz. The chart-topping Rokstarr, 24, said: “I’ve let her know that I’m available to help.
“I think she wants to go into a little more gritty urban dance flavour for her own stuff so it should be exciting.”
Keisha has endured a rough time since her very public dismissal from the pop act she formed at school 10 years ago.
But she’s found comfort in another former bandmate Mutya Buena, 24.
Keisha said: “I’m happy, Mutya’s been very supportive. It’s been good to talk with her and have so many friends look out for me.”
And what of the rumours that the three original Sugababes, Keisha, Mutya and Siobhán Donaghy, 25, are thinking of reuniting?
“We’re not forming another band, that is out of the question,” she added. “But we are friends, of course.”

She may have been kicked out of the Sugababes but Keisha Buchanan is keen to bury the hatchet... and not in Amelle Berrabah's back!
Big-hearted Keisha has reached out to the troubled ex-bandmate, who once said working with her was "unbearable" and insists "there's no hard feelings".
Opening her heart for the first time since the acrimonious split, Keisha told us: "I've cried so many tears. I'm over the worst. I believe I am stronger for it all.
"The girls are my friends. I'm certainly concerned about them and wish them only the best."
Keisha's world fell apart after she was jilted from the band she formed when she was just 13.
She was then replaced by Eurovision singer Jade Ewen, 21, in what seemed to be a secret operation.
Fellow Babe Heidi Range, 26, was said to be inconsolable after Keisha suddenly left. But, most damaging of all, the fans took it out on relative newcomer Amelle.

She was booed during her gig with Tinchy Stryder prompting security around her to be stepped up. Then earlier this month, Amelle checked into a clinic in Europe suffering from severe nervous exhaustion. But Keisha, who turned to 3am for a heart-to-heart on the red carpet at Michael Jackson's This Is It UK premiere last night, said: "There's no hard feelings with the girls, it's time to move on."
She added: "I don't want to cry." It was an emotional night all over the world. Stars including Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry gathered in Los Angeles to see the film while Keisha was among the Brit celebs in London's Leicester Square for a simultaneous screening.
Keisha said: "No more tears tonight - I don't want my fake eyelashes to come off! I was the biggest Michael Jackson fan and I know I'll get all teary when I see him on screen.
"He was like Peter Pan to me - I never thought he would die."
Keisha, looking stunning in a studded dress by Russian designer David Koma, added: "I'm doing fine - I've been focusing on my solo project and my new look.
"I've been to Paris Fashion Week and I had the best time. I'm really excited about 2010. I'm in the studio working out my new sound - and I'm finally OK with things. I have learned to smile again."
It's what Jacko - and the rest of the Sugababes - would have wanted...
I personally can't wait for this, there are rumors of Taio Cruz, Ne-Yo and Mutya wanting to work with her on this album and I think it will be a similar sound to early Sugababes with a modern twist. I didn't know whether to put this in Pop or R&B, but it seems like this is going to be Urban from the sound of it.
