Lena Meyer-Landrut - "Satellite" [Song for Oslo]

Germany will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, to be held in May of this year in Oslo, Norway. The country's entry was selected in a series of competitive heats and a national final which was organised jointly by the public broadcasters ARD and NDR and the private television channel ProSieben, together with the three-time Eurovision participant for Germany (as singer or writer) and music producer, Stefan Raab. On 12 March 2010, the song Satellite was selected as the German entry for the contest in Oslo. It is going to be performed by Lena Meyer-Landrut.

Lena will be our contestant for the Eurovision Songcontest and she will sing her song "Satellite"!

The song already jumped to #2 on German iTunes!!!!

I have a feeling she wanted the 3rd song (Love Me) which was written/produced by her and Stefan Raab but the public voted for Satellite.

I thought Jennifer performed her 3 songs way better. I Care For You would've been the best for Oslo.

Lena's Satellite has grown on me but I'm not sure if it's really something for Top 10 or bottom 5.

its totally allright!

Jennifer was one of the two contestants in the final! She sang the same songs as Lena but did one own song called "I care for you"!
The public voted about their fave song and their fave singer!!!

The Germans run mad for Lena!

Lena Meyer-Landrut is on everyone's lips in Germany today after winning the immensely popular preselection for Germany "Unser Star fur Oslo" yesterday night. The German download sales for "Satellite", the winning entry has been that immense, today it was the biggest selling song in Europe via legal download. She is the first German artist to achieve this. All of her entries in the final yesterday are now no.1, 2 and 3 respectively on the German iTunes chart. Sieneke (NL 2010) was earlier a first in home country, achieving no.1 in the single charts, the first time a Dutch entry would do so.

I'm not really impressed with this song (yet), but that's just based on one listen. And in the clip I saw on YouTube, it looked like she didn't really want to be singing it. Very strange.

I think she wanted to sing "Love Me" at the Eurovision" but I prefer Satellite!

Maybe you were watching the final 3rd performance of the song after the winner was announced cause this is where she decided "I can sing the song how I want now" + she was happy and breathless about the win. :lol:
