Ameriie - Cymatika Vol. 1

New album!

Amerie is back on her A-game. The singer, who recently got engaged to her longtime manager, drops The Inkredibles-produced single “Who’s Gonna Love You,” boasting her distinctive funk-pop sound and brash energy.

The bride-to-be exclusively revealed to Rap-Up.com that the follow-up to last year’s In Love & War will be titled Cymatica Vol. 1. Cymatics, derived from the Greek word wave, means the study of visible sound and vibration.

No release date has been set, but A did previously tell us that she wants to incorporate her newly-acquired guitar skills on the project. Watch her in action!

Love the title.
I'm so glad that she's just being herself and not trying to follow the trends.
Hopefully we will have more music like "Higher" on this album which I am a bit obsessed with at the moment!

Woowwwww new album already?! Great news!
In Love & War was completely underlooked, and didn't even get a chance in the UK! So I'm hoping this album is for the masses. 8-)

Completely agree.

A lot of people complain that she doesn't switch up her style enough, but I actually like that she sticks her own unique style and doesn't feel the need to follow what everyone else is doing.

That title sounds so much more deep! I can't wait to hear more! Might as well plough onto the next album and not wait around if things aren't doing too well. Guess the U.K won't be seeing any promotion for the last album.

I know, it really was overlooked... it's one of my favourite Amerie albums... I think she could have had a couple of hits here but alas, we got no promotion!

Swagback would have done good here in the U.K Along with Dangerous & Higher! But Gotta look forward now! What label is she under? IDJ?

She just keeps making me angrier and angrier. What producers and songwriters has she been working with? Her music has been very same-same. Very sad for such a great talent. I haven't been feeling anything from her since "Because I Love It". No conceptual Growth. I'm still waiting for a strong concept from her team, not just a collection of records. It sounds like I've been listening to the same album...

i agree, her stuff is very samey.

I think it's just her voice. She never changes it. Even though her songs are different the vocals aren't There's always that samey husky and soulful (sometimes sassy and angry) Amerie. You can hear it in Swagback, HeardEmAll, Who's gonna Love you, Take Control (I quite like it though)
