Welcome one and all to the 2010 version of UKmix Songwriter Idol!

First, let's introduce our contestants this time around:

Now to introduce our judges.

Our first judge is always stylish, has nice legs, is considered the Paula Abdul of the show minus the pills and craziness, isn't giving out her phone number so stop asking Ryan_9048, has lovely hair, is undeniably beautiful and only grows more so as time passes, has nicer lips than Angelina Jolie, has a higher IQ than George Bush (then again who doesn't?), is a big MISIA fan and you all should be too, lost five dollars today, likes matching the color of her panties with her bra, definitely has the best taste in music on UKmix especially when it comes to Japanese music, and did I mention she is beautiful? Please welcome...AYUMIH/SOPHIE!

...oh yeah, and Ryan_9048 and Jark are judging too.

Okay contestants, you have until next week, FRIDAY, JULY 2ND for your first entry. This entry will be a free-write, so you can write whatever you desire. You may also include a short prose to go with the song.

For free writes, go right ahead

for themes, I would advise to write fresh but if your pre-written song fits the theme perfectly and you are confident with it, then you may submit it.

I've quite grown to like the weekly themes of the songs now, despite me not liking them last year. I think it helps us have a bit more diversity in our songs.

Just as long as we dont get anything daft like 'Write a new 'Happy Birthday' type song or 'Wrtie about another UKMIXER' :lol:

I'm going to try to be flexible with the themes this time around and try to give multiple options when I can. I look back and feel it was pretty harsh to assign Enya to Jark, ABBA to Chaottic and Arctic Monkeys to Dan :lol:

I've gotten about three entries so far and writing my critiques right now. If everyone could, please sign your entries with your contestant number I assigned to you.
