I think I remember reading some Bee stans saying she was actually photographed in NYC the night she was allegedly at the Rihanna show...RaFanatic wrote:Wow,my Bey was there
YESRihanna is known for her good looks, style and that it factor. But though her Caribbean-accented vocals are distinctive, it’s not what is most often talked about, especially live.
She put some of that criticism to rest Friday night at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre with a performance that was not only compelling because of the dream/nightmare-inspired staging but also her strong vocal performance.
Decked out in a full-length black gown, Rihanna kicked off the show with “Russian Roulette,” a lyrically dark song about a troubled relationship. The gown lit up with pulsating red lights to accentuate the plaintive lyrics. The brooding but edgy song set the tone for a sequence of songs that let Rihanna show off her tough-girl persona.
Quickly shedding the gown, she revealed a form-fitting tan outfit for the swaggering “Hard,” during which she stalked the stage before ending the song atop a pink tank while suggestively straddling the gun.
The aggressive content continued with “Shut Up and Drive,” which featured a beat-up car that Rihanna would swing at with a baseball bat.
The live band gave the performances a rock edge, but Rihanna’s claims of being a “Rock Star” are not really convincing, especially with her weak attempt at playing the guitar. She gave it so little effort, she might as well not have pretended. But she did look good with the black guitar, and that’s ultimately the point for most of what she does.
In between her songs and outfit changes, the crowd of more than 14,000 was kept engaged with videos playing along the show’s dreams/nightmare theme.
Following the series of aggressive songs, Rihanna slowed things down with a group of songs that focused on troubled relationships. “Hate that I Love You” was stripped down with backing from acoustic guitars and drums. It allowed Rihanna to show off her strong vocals. On the big screen, beads of sweat could be seen streaming down her face in the 90-plus degree heat.
She would pick up the pace with “Don’t Stop the Music.” The set-up included a neon, glow-in-the-dark cube. Rihanna and her dancers weaved in and out of the gaps, showing that much like the perceptions of her singing, she can’t be boxed in.
So would I!Noahh wrote:But Glenn you're acting like this tour is doing really bad, which is not the case at all. You have to remember this is her first SOLO tour in the US. And tickets sold pretty well in the US anyways. Also, in Europe she did great and I'm sure that she'll do fine in Australia as well. I hope she'll come to Europe for a second leg. I would go a second time for sure

I would be soo happy if they release it!
Signed! And I just visited Rihanndaily and every show the commentators post pics of the audience and what not. The tour is selling pretty good to me. Who cares if EVERY possible seat is not filled. You can hardly tell by looking at the pics that some seats are not filled. People make a big deal out of the dumbest things. And at the end of the day at least Rihanna is headlining her own major tour. You can't say that for some artists out there.RaFanatic wrote:SIGN A PETITION FOR THE LAST GIRL ON EARTH TOUR DVD!

This.IAmWill wrote:MediaTakeOut is the worst source EVER! I remember last year they were stating Beyonces UK tour wasnt selling well and that she had to do give tickets away (it was a free show)! They suck ass!
As for $10 ticket special, yes times are tough at the moment on the US concert scene most artists are doing 'specials' to at least shift the tickets and make more profit.
PREACH!!!!!!myinfatuation wrote:It's the same hater posting nonsense again but the funny thing about it is, they couldn't find 5 people that were interested enough in their favorite artist. That's why they're having to semi stan for Rihanna because I'm sure crickets are chirping in the threads they should be in.
