She used to perform under the name imonet, described as:
liverpool singer, worked with t2, 7th heaven, yann kriss, billion dollar dj's recorded vocals for tinchy stryder, due to be working with bad boy records artist e-ness.
..and she provided vocals for a radio single by Trilogy Project: "Dance Upon The Ceiling"
So she was originally a dance singer? That's cool...proves that she wanted to do those big dance numbers and Cheryl was giving her the ballads every week.
I hope her debut album is a good mix of soul with a bit of dance too.
Her voice really suits both. I can't imagine them letting her make a dance album though.
^ Yeah, remember Cheryl mentioned it was Rebecca's idea to do "Show Me Love"? Her performance of the dance tunes are her best! "Sweet Dreams" is probably my favorite performance this year from the live shows.
I'm really excited for her debut album! I'll definitely buy it! I want some electro/dance tunes on it and of course some R&B/Soul a la Jazmine Sullivan/Amy Winehouse!
I listened to some of her peformances on itunes and she sounds so much better when you just listen to her voice without watching her live. She has a beautiful and unique voice. I definately think I would buy her album. It would be the first X Factor album I will have bought since Leonas debut.
She should so do a dance album, they were her best two performances along with "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" I don't want her to have an album full of ballads!
Yeah dance would be great and have some ballads aswell. She was amazing singing Amazing Grace. But she would do herself no justice if she released a bland album full of ballads.
Steve Mac as said he who he his going to be working with this year, now back in recording with Subo, then Rebecca and doing a few tracks for Leona's new album.
I can't imagine her doing a covers album. They kept saying that she would be the "international star" of the show and with covers it's not going to happen.
I definitely think Corinne/Adele-esque material with maybe a couple of dance numbers would be a good move for her.
