This is actually my favourite album of 2011 so far, Kate Bush might probably steal that title later on, but for now The English Riviera feels like a continuation my long love affair from last year with Hot Chip's album One Life Stand.

This album have really inspired me to realize new things, it has helped me develop my writing skills and it's also a very emotional journey, even the intro.

THE BAY - best track!!

Oh, and She Wants was a brilliant lead-single! I bought it the day it was released along with David Lynch - Good Day Today - these two tracks are very similar in a way. PS. Love the SW video! 8-)

i like their new one more.it has a warmer , richer and friendlier sound.

I agree with you! Funny thing is that the reviews I've read for this album says the opposite, that it has a cold sound and that it doesnt allow the listener inside the music. How silly.

Nights Out is one of my favourite albums too, so I must hear how long this record can keep my interest before I judge. But for now, it's their best.

I just saw the video for The Look and feeling... satisfied. Although being this years best album, this song have not matched the quality of the other in my opinion, until now - I guess they call it the "video effect".

It was also the first time I saw the members. I would love having them all as my neighbors!

It almost represents my identic thoughts for the song. I've written a 10 pages long "poem" inspired by this particular track, easily their best song!

I don't really get the hype for this album, it's all a bit boring apart from The Bay. I'm hoping it's a grower.

It is a grower for some people, for others it is very instant. It took me by storm on the first listen and I still rank it as this years #1 album!

Have you seriously listened to this track: Corinne?

That's also one of my possible #1 songs of 2011, the rhythm is outstanding. It's melancholic upbeat piece of art. Everyone should hear this song while running in the woods late at night - such an incredible feeling!

I just wanted to share one of the contenders of becoming my #1 song from 2011! It's a bouncy track, filled with amazing rhythm and feelings. I get a sort of divine feeling from it. This might sound odd, but I feel like I'm a cheating man when listening to this, a pig that is. Who realizes that I want my lover back, only to treat her badly again. Strange huh? Not really, I could go deeper into this, but I wont :oops:

During the instrumental part after the first verse, plus the whole refrain - if no one can see me, my body becomes fettered in trance, closing my eyes and doing the "picking apples dance" - up, down, left and right. Claustrophobic in a way.
