This episode was fantastic!

When Hodge had both Bex and Jess in the flat I was sitting on the edge of my seat! Scary stuff

Series 7 has been confirmed as having 30 episodes spread across the latter half of this year and into 2012, with a lot of new characters joining.

Only 1 more episode until the finale, hope it's a good one!

I've got a feeling someone's gonna get killed off...

Cesca Montoya
Jonah Kirby
Ruth Kirby
Marcus Kirby
Ruby Fry
Nate Gurney
Bex Fisher

Are all leaving at the end of this series. I'm gonna put my bets on Jonah, now it's all happily ever after for him and Cesca.

I adore this show, so much! Its such a good piece of TV, even if it isn't always believable. I never thought they'd find as good an actor as Eva Pope for the headteacher's part, but gosh Karen is phenomenal!

Just watched the latest episode and OMG! :o Intenseeee

You know that it's so wrong for a teacher and pupil to be with each other but I can't help but wish that they could just be together! :(

If it was a male teacher getting a pupil pregnant, he'd be a paedo, an ogre, a monster, a sexual predator....

Which is exactly what Miss Montoya is, by the way.

I know Chris didn't know, but to get so angry when he shoved it up Jess is harsh!

Nice terminology

Yeah short memory on him really, Chris annoys me a bit sometimes cos he's quick to take the moral high-ground on a lot of things.

I know teacher/pupil is illegal but it's just a shame about the circumstance cos outside of that "relationship" they're doing nothing wrong.

I thought the finale was a bit anti-climatic. We'll probably never heard mention of Jonah and Cesca again and Ruby's exit was rushed and boring for such a character. The only dramatic thing was Finn's fall, IMO they should've had that right at the end of the episode and left it on a cliffhanger as to whether he lives for the next series.

Yeah I agree actually, as ever with Waterloo Road it always rounds off far too nicely and almost a bit sickly sweet. We didn't need Karen's blurb about her being back.

Ruby I'm fine with, she was a great but not massive character and I was just pleased it worked out for her (though it is NOT that easy!!)

Really glad Cesca and Jonah did get married and that the police didn't burst in just before they said I Do or anything. I hope one day we do hear mention of them again!

The best bit was the crossover of the wedding and the stunt/fall - that part of the show actually moved me..

I dunno!! I am reallly bugged about not know what song that was. If anyone could please help us it would be greatly appreciated. It's off iPlayer now so hopes are thin but the lyrics went: "I'm not going where you're going" in a womans voice then a man's came in.

PLEASE anybody:)

Right i've found a tracklisting I just need to know the episdoe that it was when I heard this song. I suppose it would have been the last season. All i can remember is a girl on a toilet with a pregnancy test and they come out of the cubicle to see some lady standing there.

If anybody could help me work out what episdoe that was from my description I will hug you.

Amanda Burton quits 'Waterloo Road'
Amanda Burton has quit her role as Waterloo Road's Karen Fisher, it has been announced.

The actress, who was cast in the BBC drama in late 2009, has already filmed her final scenes as school head teacher Karen, The Sun reports.

Sources told the newspaper that Burton had struggled spending time away from her family home in London while filming the programme in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Meanwhile, Burton's agent confirmed her departure, explaining that she had decided not to renew her contract.

A show insider added: "It's a shame as viewers really liked her character."

Karen was on screen throughout series six of Waterloo Road and also features in the first block of series seven episodes, which begin next Wednesday on BBC One.

Waterloo Road's seventh series sees Robson Green join the cast as the school's new site manager Rob Scotcher, who has been tipped as a possible new love interest for Karen.

A BBC spokesperson told DS this morning: "Amanda has made an amazing contribution to Waterloo Road playing Karen Fisher. We hope the viewers will enjoy seeing how her relationship with Rob Scotcher plays out over the next 10 weeks."

They should promote one of the existing cast to headteacher this time instead of a new one coming in again, like Chris maybe.

Totally agree.

Although I want Eva Pope back. Even though she never will.

Decent idea actually, be easier to get used to a new teacher than another new head.

I'd never watch the show again.

A strong female head has been the show's strong point for sometime now

I agree that it's great to see strong female characters, but not watching just because that character isn't the head would be a massive mistake IMO..

I saw a headline that made me instantly think it sounds like she may end up with some sort of brain tumour and suffer a similar fate to Flora from Byker Grove? But I could be wrong.
