Tori Amos | Night Of Hunters

Hey Tori fans,

We have some exciting news to report. Tori has a new album titled Night of Hunters set for September release. The album will coming out via the world’s most celebrated classical label, Deutsche Grammophon.

Here’s how Tori describes the new record:
"It's a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years. I have used the structure of a song cycle to tell an ongoing, modern story. The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship. In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”

Not liking the picture though, she keeps photoshopping herself more and more with each release since The Beekeeper. :lol:

I was not expecting that!! Three studio albums in just three years!

The concept sounds interesting too, excited, her last one has yet to grow on me!

Her shortest albums are her strongest (except Boys For Pele, that one is just omg amazing)! I want a 12-14 track album.

I had a feeling she would release something new this year!

I've been euphoric about this since the announcment was made! Love it. Kate Bush & Björk as well - this is amazing!

I like the album theme and inspiration. Another album with 23 songs would be awesome! 8-)

Since her albums got constantly worse my anticipation's not that great.

She had her latest smash with "Scarlet's Walk". Everything after that was fairly mediocre.

I totally agree!!! But still I always anticipate for her new efforts... From earthquakes to Venus she was a pioneer and jawdropping! Then something changed... Now I only enjoy certain songs from each of her release and never a full album. I will always love her though and follow her and be intrigued as to what she is up to!

I agree. Would be nice to get a 50-55 minute max album. Her albums are usually too long and self-induglent

Great album cover - looks different from the other ones! I'm optimistic that this album will bring a new twist to her music. Very excited!
