Blaque, known for being spoiled brats and not having good originality, announced on Tuesday (11/20/01) morning they were officially broken up.

Oh, well...

everyone in america pretty much forget about them, they were never really that big in the first place. A song with JC from nsync did help them get noticed a little tho

just wait about two more months and then there will be most likely another greatest hits album.

1. Everyone releases GH Packages for Xmas - that is no surprise but there's an awful lot of 90s pop this year (Ricky Martin, Five, All Saints, Corrs, Steps, Backstreet Boys etc.)

2. It is a shame when some acts split. Savage Garden and Five were pretty good. But two other acts that have recently split were amazing. Catatonia will be sorely missed - but Cerys is pursuing a solo career (as of course is Neil Hannon but by possible name alone that might not be a split from DC) The other is the amazing Blaque Ivory (that was their UK name)

Blaque Ivory (who dropped the ivory in the US) only ever made the chart once over here, with "808" but its number 30 was a criminal failure - they really oughtta've had a number one. They were a really high quality funky girl group straddling the RnB/Soul divide with ease. They will be sorely missed. I only knew the songs "808" and "Bring It All To Me"

I'm not surprised really. After 808 and Bring It All To Me I didn't hear anything from them and the music wasn't very good to begin with. I wonder why on earth they called themselves Blaque Ivory in the UK...

Blaque also lent "As If" to the "Bring It On" Soundtrack - and it's their best song.

Blaque Ivory is an oxymoron.
Blaque = Black
Ivory = white

There U go.

Everyone knows that. They were just trying to be different. It was stupid, really.
