I surely don't mind Coldplay snatching Adele's wig!!! They can snatch any wig this year! They have always been the dart that comes and, possibly, messes everyone's predictions up.

They have all they need:

1. Great music
2. HUGE fanbase
3. Dumbing longevity
4. Charm

This band is here to stay!

Coldplay was doing a festival tonight . They played 7 new songs at their show!!!!

LP5 is near !. Do u think it will be released on Octuber or sooner ?

I don't think they'll manage another 8 million + WW selling album, but they might get close if we have another Violet Hill (hit single) + Viva La Vida (smash hit) situation.

#18 on German iTunes. It's been increasing much in the last few hours, let's hope they can enter the top 10.

I think they can do even more VLV must be 9 mill by now and will sill sell they are album artists people bu their albums because they have such a core fan base they defined the 00's generation for me

take in count that lots of the people that were their hardcore fans are kinda confused about this song too. They have changed way too much from the parachutes days . Its like Mariah with Vision of love and now singing Up out my face :lol:

. Though I know this album will debut HUGE and sell HUGE too. Specially after comming from the massive VLV era

BTW , do u know if this is beeing played in the US? Or its radio add dates ?

Adele is in another league this year, her album will be above the 2.4 million mark in the UK which is already a sales record number for a calender year, and there are still 6 months to go before the year is over.
Coldplay 2nd album remain their best seller to date with 2.7 million sold. This was their career peak as it is their best selling album pretty much in every country. Ever since that album they have changed their sound and in the UK, while still huge, their last album sold around 1.3 million units a decrease of 1.2 million compared to the previous album X&Y. With a decreased less sharper the same happened to them in the USA, but there it has more to do with the market decline than a real popularity decline.
Only in France, the Netherlands and maybe a few other countries their last album allowed them to see their popularity grow and register their biggest seller.

What will happen with the new album remains to be seen, the biggest question remaining wether or not they will be back to the astronomical sale level their first 3 albums registered in the UK; all of them having sold in excess of 2.3 million units.

They are not going to surpass Adele either in the US and the Netherlands, it seems an imposible task for them too, Adele having registered a very high level of sales and still going strong.

Not surprised by the high initial demand for their new single in the US and all over the world.

Them being already #1 on I-tunes in the Netherland shouldn't come as a surprise as with France it was where their album registered the most impressive chart run and level of sales comparativly to what other acts are able to achieve there, especially if we're talking about foreign acts.

Very impressive sales so far and Coldplay will have a huge album but talk of them surpassing Adele this year is way wide of the mark as she's out on her own, has already amassed 6.2 million sales WW and continues to sell extraordinarily well.

However, Coldplay could be snatching the wigs of the ones directly below Adele, artists like Gaga and Subo.

Coldplay have a very strong fanbase and they buy buy buy.
They wil sell bucket loads by the end of the year. Just wish it was released in a few weeks time.
