See, even "weiner" knows releasing "sale el sol" is the biggest f***ing joke of 2011 and if mommy slaps his fugly face, weiner will kick mommy's flat, wrinkled, hairy ass. :D

I assume there is'nt a thread for Rabiosa?

I bought it the other day, as I've been sceptic about it earlier because of Pitbull being the featuring artist. A few days ago however I thought about giving the preview a new try, and to my surprise there was a version with El Cata (how could I miss that?)!!

Once again:

Shakira's Spanish songs are superior to their English versions (except from Did It Again). She has such a flow with her origin language, especially to these types of songs! But, I can quite understand if, for example Scandinavians, would find Rabiosa "corny" since it's very foreign.

I love it!
Shakira & El Cata = MAGIC! 8-)

^^No

I wanted to wait until Loca had reached it peak for me, which took a long time. Amazing song! Now I bought Rabiosa as the follow up, and will soon purchase the Sale El Sol single, so I'll buy the whole album very soon as well :P

I really HATE how this era was handled. No single releases in the US, UK and AUS, no promo, interviews or performances, no nothing!

The album definitely has become one of my favorite Shakira records. 'Loca' is an anthem, that could have been a worldwide smash, if promoted correctly. 'Sale El Sol' should've never been the second single in Europe (Latin America only) as 'Rabiosa' should've been released instead. With a hot video in time of the release. Not months later..!

What I want her team to do now is release the video for 'Rabiosa' and book her some performances in the US or UK. It might be too late, but at least they can say they've tried.

I also think they should not give up on Latin America, but get maximum success out of this era by releasing more singles. I want 'Gordita' to be a late Summer smash, followed up by 'Tú Boca'. The latter can have a live video, as I think it would suit the song perfectly.

It's really time to wake up. They're wasting this album. It's a shame.

Same. They really wasted Loca, which could have been a top 5 hit easily in the UK with Dizzee on board. It really annoys me what they've done with this project - Shakira could have gotten two big hits with 'Loca' and 'Rabiosa' had they been released.

^The label doesn't care because she's going to leave them. That's why they not invest.

THANK GOD Sale El Sol was her last studio album with them. One more Greatest Hits and everything will be done with this lazy label.

I never really liked this album to be honest, it was a bit all over the place and nowhere near the standard of Oral Fixation - even She Wolf was disappointing despite the odd gem (Mon Amour!!!!!!!).

Hopefully with a new label she'll get a new lease of life and do something better.

Wow!, That's what makes this album so great!! Why listen to pop-rock all in one album!! I love albums that have a litte bit of everything.

That purple wig really suits her, makes me wanna watch the Pure Intuition video again

Rabiosa sounds so Balkan-influenced to me :o I mean, not a bad thing, but why not Gordita? I wish Gordita was a single, but there's still a chance, isn't it?

Wooooooooooooooooo the Rabiosa video looks different to everything she has done before (well she had a wig in Las de la Intuición, but that's the only comparison I could find).

So, I have finally purchased this album and listening to it from start to finish now - it sounds really good! At first listen it does sound better than the Oral albums + She Wolf! I have not heard her other albums in full.

But I must admit I've made some changes with my digital copy. Removed the English versions of Loca & Rabiosa + only including the K Mix of Waka Waka (English) and added the Spanish version (Esto Es Africa) - 12 tracks. Brilliant! :D

Could be her best album, I have to hear the early albums to know though.

Yeah, it's a shame they didn't handle this era right.

I really hope Gordita to be a single but it sounds impossible now. :(

I am happy I bought this album! It makes me active and optimistic, exactly what I needed these days when I have just felt extremely lazy and worthless.

Y yo la secreteria - love this line!

I like every track to be honest, and my own iTunes tracklist is ideal!

1. Sale El Sol
2. Loca (feat. El Cata)
3. Antes De La Seis
4. Gordita (feat. Residente Calle 13)
5. Addicted To You
6. Lo Que Mas
7. Mariposas
8. Rabiosa (feat. El Cata)
9. Devocion
10. Islands
11. Tu Boca
12. Waka Waka (This Is Africa) [K Mix]
13. Waka Waka (Esto Es Africa)

Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones are all in Spanish but since you're one of the few that listens to everything, I'm pretty sure you will like them. Pies Descalzos (1996), Donde Estan Los Ladrones (1998) and Sale El Sol (2010) are my fav. albums from her.

The Fixations are also good but don't listen to them as much as the other three...same for Laundry Service and She-Wolf. Even though there are 3 or 4 songs I love to death from each album!
