I thought you had already bought the album!Vindrag wrote:I assume there is'nt a thread for Rabiosa?
I bought it the other day, as I've been sceptic about it earlier because of Pitbull being the featuring artist. A few days ago however I thought about giving the preview a new try, and to my surprise there was a version with El Cata (how could I miss that?)!!
Once again:
Shakira's Spanish songs are superior to their English versions (except from Did It Again). She has such a flow with her origin language, especially to these types of songs! But, I can quite understand if, for example Scandinavians, would find Rabiosa "corny" since it's very foreign.
I love it!
Shakira & El Cata = MAGIC!
Same. They really wasted Loca, which could have been a top 5 hit easily in the UK with Dizzee on board. It really annoys me what they've done with this project - Shakira could have gotten two big hits with 'Loca' and 'Rabiosa' had they been released.BanZai wrote:I really HATE how this era was handled. No single releases in the US, UK and AUS, no promo, interviews or performances, no nothing!
THANK GOD Sale El Sol was her last studio album with them. One more Greatest Hits and everything will be done with this lazy label.Jim20 wrote:^The label doesn't care because she's going to leave them. That's why they not invest.
Wow!, That's what makes this album so great!! Why listen to pop-rock all in one album!! I love albums that have a litte bit of everything.alxx wrote:I never really liked this album to be honest, it was a bit all over the place and nowhere near the standard of Oral Fixation - even She Wolf was disappointing despite the odd gem (Mon Amour!!!!!!!).
Hopefully with a new label she'll get a new lease of life and do something better.
I hope it's not all walkinga roundmyles93 wrote:A clip of the Rabiosa video is on her website. It's looks goo and she is looking fine!
That purple wig really suits her, makes me wanna watch the Pure Intuition video again
Pies Descalzos and Donde Estan Los Ladrones are all in Spanish but since you're one of the few that listens to everything, I'm pretty sure you will like them. Pies Descalzos (1996), Donde Estan Los Ladrones (1998) and Sale El Sol (2010) are my fav. albums from her.Vindrag wrote:So, I have finally purchased this album and listening to it from start to finish now - it sounds really good! At first listen it does sound better than the Oral albums + She Wolf! I have not heard her other albums in full.
But I must admit I've made some changes with my digital copy. Removed the English versions of Loca & Rabiosa + only including the K Mix of Waka Waka (English) and added the Spanish version (Esto Es Africa) - 12 tracks. Brilliant!![]()
Could be her best album, I have to hear the early albums to know though.
PD and DELL are amazing but MTV Unplugged is my favorite! I love the acoustic versions!hello wrote: Pies Descalzos (1996), Donde Estan Los Ladrones (1998) and Sale El Sol (2010) are my fav. albums from her.
The Fixations are also good but don't listen to them as much as the other three...same for Laundry Service and She-Wolf. Even though there are 3 or 4 songs I love to death from each album!
Oh, yes!! def. my 4th best Shakira album!!! The intro is one of the best intros in the history of intrology!mattsky wrote:PD and DELL are amazing but MTV Unplugged is my favorite!
