Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere

LISTEN!!

Was just looking at this thread, and their hits survivor last year, to find that one of my ultimate favourite Fleetwood Mac songs seemingly isn't that popular at UKMIX!

It isn't their biggest hit - far from it - however, it is definitely one of those songs that upon hearing, you immediately associate with the band. That distinctive sound is so great! It reached #4 in the UK, and went top 20 in the US too. Likewise, its parent album Tango In The Night was far from being their most successful, but was a flippin' great album, and contained the CLASSIC Little Lies.

Anyway, Everywhere is absolutely class! The 12" Jellybean Benitez remix adds a disco edge to the song, and is pretty cool! The original holds a permanent place in my heart though, the lyrics are gorgeous! <3

If I ever get married, this is the first song that will play at my reception!

I LOVE this, because I haven't really listened to them though I had no idea who it was from! :o

Thanks for reminding me of it, it is so cute and dreamy! 8-)

I am a far bigger Nicks/Buckingham fan, but this is one of those McVie songs I really love, along with Little Lies and You Make Loving Fun.

Fleetwood Mac have so many fantastic songs, "Everywhere" is one of their best, I love it :D.
"Tango In The Night" is an amazing album, although nowadays it's kind of overshadowed by "Rumours".

I LOVE this song, definitely one of my Fleetwood favs.

It just has the ethereal atmosphere about it ...and seemingly without all the technological tweaking that we have these days to create such a sound.

It's just a great song.

Choon! 8-)

My interoperation of the lyrics have always screwed with me somewhat though. “I love so much I wish I was dead then I’d be a ghost and be with you everywhere”. :-?

I always like the songs where Christine McVie sings lead.

Little Lies and You Make Loving Fun as well...

Obviously there has been some re-ignited interest in this song lately, but listening to it, it still sounds so new and fresh. I guess it was way ahead of its time. Or just timeless.

Perfect way to describe it - its a wonderful song, and my personal highlight of Fleetwood Mac's catalogue.
