David, do you know if the Visionary and digital singles are counted separately from the originals (like happens in UK and Ireland)?

Furthermore, i'd like to know the Herbie Hancock chart positions.

I done a research on promusicae.es and looks that every edition and support is counted separately. So, Michael Jackson would have at least 36 #1 singles in Spain

He had 10#1s in the Singles & Maxisingles chart before the Visionary era; 15 #1s during the Visionary era (10 of them had never been #1 before), therefore he has 20 "different" songs that have reached #1. Moreover "Thriller" reached #1 in the digital chart

Ive read Madonna has 15 #1s in Spain and Shakira 12...but Im confused since some include airplay only..can you verify this please David? Airplay, Singles and Downloads please?

Sorry to re-live this topic but I bought the book and has many mistakes as Madonna's I'm Breathless only being #3 when actually was #2 for 2 weeks coinciding with her Blond Ambition Tour in the mid of 1990 summer, and María del Monte "Besos de Luna" was #1 in the Album chart and the book says it made to #3 only.
I think there's more mistakes and some gaps, but it's a good source where to check Spanish Albums and Singles Chart.

"I'm breathless" is right in the book; #2 (30/07), page 545; it was in the CD chart where it peaked at #3.
And "Besos de luna" is right too in the book: #1 for 2 weeks (page 527).
However there are many small mistakes.

Yes, "like a prayer" sold 415.000, "Immaculate" over 370.000, "Ray of light" 350.000, "True blue" 320.000, etc.
These numbers were published in "Los 40" magazine in december 2005.
