I think a lot of Buffy fans have felt a void in our television since SMG hung up the stake in 2003. Now she's back on a new series premiering on CW this fall called "Ringer" where she plays a woman on the run who poses as her wealthy socialite twin sister.

Anyone else looking forward to it? She hasn't aged a day since the last Buffy episode.

This looks really good. Not a particularly fresh concept but still good. I'd watch anything with SMG and Ioan Gruffurdd in, just a shame it's on The CW instead of a mor emajor network.

There were rumours it'd been dropped because of the high budget but apparently it's confirmed to start in the fall, Tuesdays at 9pm in the US, the same time as when Buffy was on The CW. I'm hoping ITV2 or More4 will pick this up over here.. though they'd probably be weeks behind and I'd end up watching it online anyway

Also, Richard from LOST aka the hot other is in this apparently :o

Promo has started - SMG's just done an interview with the Hollywood Reporter and a bunch of other lead female stars. She's confirmed she is an executive producer on the show, and also mentioned social networking briefly despite being a private person, so we might get a Twitter account from her!

THR: Sarah, was there hesitation about jumping back into TV?
GELLAR: It was definitely something that I wanted to do. My hat's off to all of the mothers that do movies and travel -- it's really, really hard. TV really is, as a wife and a mother, the greatest because you can go home at night … but I'm still trying to figure out how that works because there's no handbook, and the fact that my hours were so bad did scare me. The producers keep saying: "No, we're going to take care of you. This is a different show, and we have other storylines."

Great promo shots, she still looks as young as ever.

The pilot was quite good. There's enough mystery to keep things interesting, and plus it is so nice seeing her on the small screen again, I've missed Buffy.

+1
I liked it as well, great to see SMG back on TV 8-)

My only criticism would be the boat scene which looked really cheap, like in a 70s movie
But apart from that a great pilot

Ha, I agree with that. That scene reminded me of something from Charlie's Angels or Wonder Woman in the 70's, but even those were more realistic looking.

I'm not sure what to think of the pilot. Most of the acting was good, and I generally liked the plot, but I just think it seemed like there was something missing from the show and that it lacked depth.

I can't believe they used that green screen for the pivotal boat scene.

I'll definitely be watching next week as I'm intrigued by this show, although I fear for its future considering even Hellcats Pilot did better. Plus there's a lot of good TV debuts for the 2011/12 season.
