Last night at America's Got Talent we got the title of Susan Boyle's next album, Someone to Watch Over Me. There's a promo on Amazon with a couple of short clips--Unchained Melody and You Have to Be There. Although those 2 are covers, there will be some new songs on the album.

Tonight (Wednesday) she'll sing "You Have to Be There" on AGT; the taping was last night (Tuesday).

Not another album of mostly covers =/

It'd be nice for her to take some risks, especially because, despite her enormous success, at this rate nobody's going to remember a song as "Susan Boyle sings that one!" They'll just remember her audition, her story, and her success.

It was mentioned in the promo for STWOM that there will be some new songs written specially for Susan.
It was reported that one or two songs written by Emeli Sande might be on the album. In any case what fans want is to hear Susan's incredible voice. We want exactly what we heard on AGT Aug. 31.

Rather than having two active SuBo threads, thought I'd mention it here (since both the new album and The Gift likely will be charting simultaneously).

The Gift re-entered the BB 200 this week at No. 188, with 2,809 units scanned (+77%) from the prior week). Cume shows as 1.899 million, but the total is a big higher (with Christian-outlet sales not showing up in the to-date tally).
The most celebrated and important female artist of the last half-century-plus-who else but the one and only Madonna.

01 You Have To Be There
02 Unchained Melody
03 Enjoy The Silence
04 Both Sides Now
05 Lilac Wine
06 Mad World
07 Autumn Leaves
08 This Will Be The Year
09 Return
10 Someone To Watch Over Me

'This Will Be The Year' is new, and most likely 'Return' is also.

I hope her Album flops. Her last Album flopped totally in Europe, so i dont really care. They are counting on Christmas sales as usual. Their strategy is pathetic honestly. They shipped 3m+ in the USA to get a 3xp certification. Though it STILL has not sold near to 2m.

So im interested to see, how this Album will sell.

Oh and horrible Albumcover.

The Gift charted at #119 on the Sept. 24 Billboard chart. HolidayGuy, just wondering if you know the amount of units sold at that position?

Its kind of sad what they do to her :/ It seems as if theyre just milking her and not even giving her a chance to pave her own way. :(

Susan deserves to be successful but that album cover is horrible. And I would love to hear more songs written for her and not covers.

Where is Max Martin or Dr. Luke to write her a club banger?

Thanks Mokichi for the figures.

I think the tracklist of STWOM is brilliant and exciting and I believe this album will be a huge success.

Another bad thing is that it only has 10 tracks. I don't know if it's just me, but an album with 10 tracks appeals me less than an album with 12 tracks.

Susan does not Sing 'You Have To Be There'
anywhere near as well as Helen Sjoholm, who
originally Sang it in Benny & Bjorn's Musical
'Kristina Fran Duvemala'. ('Kristina From Duvemala').

Helen's Swedish version of the Benny & Bjorn Song:,

> Nov. 1 is the release date for Susan Boyle’s 3rd album, entitled Someone To Watch Over Me. To date her previous two albums, I Dreamed a Dream and The Gift have sold over 14 million copies and went to number one in over 30 countries. The new album combines original material with better known fare such as Unchained Melody, Both Sides Now and Mad World.

That is your opinion, and the opinion of many Swedes, but even so, at least realize Susan will bring this song to millions who have never heard it before. And for millions of Susan Boyle fans, we will never agree with you.

The CD version is now available on SoundCloud:
