That is much better than I thought it would do.

#19 isn't bad 8-) of course it isn't a big success. But with two singles failing to chart on Top 20, I think it did pretty well. No radio support, her TV appearances helped her put the word out there. But like always, she started at #11 on Midweeks and ended up really low compared to Tuesday midweeks

That's wrong! The Official UK Charts web site and the BBC Radio 1 web site both state it's #17 and they're official. ;)

^Yes, the person who made those chart posts got Nicola and Mastodon the wrong way round!

17 is fine considering.

^Music Week posted Friday's mids instead of the official chart. So that would mean she went UP two places since Friday?

It's good considering she's had no real hit single to back it up... it'll fly out of the Top 100 though, hopefully not as rapidly as "Lucky Day" did!

I remember when this was all announced I believed she was gonna do really well as a solo artist, quite surprised nobody really cares.

Just listened to the album and it's really good. On first listen apart from the 2 singles my favourites are 'I', 'Say It Out Loud', Sticks + Stones' & 'Yo-Yo'. I'm surprised 'Porcelain Heart' actually ended up being one of the weakest tracks on the album. :o

Top 20 was to be expected with the lack of support she's getting, considering she's got a sizeable fanbase. So well done Nic!

#17 is really great, i thought it would only made it to top 40!

A great result for Nicola.

At least it beat the #473 peak of Insatiable.

I think "Yo Yo" is a bit too samey for the 3rd single but I guess, as Nicola has stated, this project was never really about sales.
Still think "S+S" could work wonders as a single if done right though.

I'm happy with a top 20 position, I wasn't expecting it after both the singles flopped that hard!

You honestly can't compare Nicola to Cheryl.

I think she has done very well for herself, after both singles bombed. And she did sell more than Nudheen.

Cheryl has her weekly X-Factor exposure to million viewers. Nicola has zero airplay and people on Last.fm and social networks (which is 70% from Brazil btw ) to promote her music.

Nicola Roberts has confirmed that she has already started work on her second studio album.

The singer, who released her solo debut Cinderella's Eyes last week, explained that she will continue to keep making music in the studio for a potential follow-up.

She told the Daily Star: "I'm never happier than when I'm in the studio with my tracksuit on, creating music all day.

"I was in the studio every day for 18 months making this record, and I can't go from doing that to just doing nothing all day. It doesn't sit right with me.

"So every time I get a day off from promoting this record, it's on with the trackie, trying to get better as a musician."

She added that there are some songs she wrote that were unable to make the first cut and are now available for other artists to record.

"There are a few songs that didn't fit on Cinderella's Eyes that are just sat there," she said. "If anyone wants to work on those songs, I'd love them to have a go."

Roberts recently revealed that 'Yo-Yo' will be the third single to be lifted from her debut album.
Get it! Keep working Nic :D
