As European Queen it peaked at number 5
in the Dutch Dance Charts.

Nice track, I do prefer "Loverboy" and "When The Going Gets Tough" to it though.

Surprised how far he's fallen off the radar, I would've figured he'd at least have the type of career Lionel Richie or someone has now as an elder statesman.

Yeah its sad how he fell off hard but lionel was always the bigger star since the 70's anyway.

I got the 12 maxi with Carribean Queen and on the B side there are European Queen and African Queen

"European Queen" made the lower reaches of the top 100 in the UK in June 1984, its chart run was 95-82-84.

Its interesting that in the UK, Billy was having a comeback there as he'd had a very successful run in the 70s. In the US, outside of one top 40 (Love Really Hurts Without You), Billy more or less had his breakthrough in 84-85.

His best track ever in my opinion, still sounds great in 2012! He did have some awesome songs during the 80s.
