In 2007, NZ were supposed to be the best team in the world and they had been knocked out of the tournament by France. :-?
Hey, you don't need to tell me that. I know  I'm not even a fan of the All Blacks, despite being a Kiwi. In fact, I HATE them. They're overrated in NZ

I'm supporting England, Ireland and Wales :D
 I just wanted to say that France also could be the surprise like Ireland.

YAS!! i thought i was the only one who is supporting England here 8-) i like Australia and New Zealand too :)

Aw ! the Ireland - Wales match should be a bit bittersweet for you then :P

If that happens Cidey, I may have trouble choosing which side to barrack for...my Tasman neighbours or my 3rd fave team in the tournament.

The surprise will be if France get off the bus and take to the field!!!

Well done Wales!

But what a disappointment for Ireland. The only Celtic nation still to qualify for a semi final!

I'm quite surprised Wales beat Ireland, but I'm happy also :D

*checks score on England vs France*

0-11 to France :o

So it looks like France WAS biding their time. Unless England comes back later on :-?

EDIT:

Aaaaand England are gone! 19-12 to France! So I was correct about France holding back until after the pool rounds!

Wales vs France for the first semi final. GO WALES :D

Tomorrow we have South Africa vs Aussie and NZ vs Argentina.

I think we'll be seeing Aussie vs NZ for the other semi final, but the SA/Aussie match will be close.
One for the money, two for the show, I love you honey, I'm ready ready to go...

Well, who would have predicted that, eh?

First semi-final will be Wales-France!

I watched the second game, or at least about 2/3rds of it, and we really didn't deserve to win - it was abysmal play by England.

Wales for the win now then! 8-)

Really? After having played only one game of rugby in the whole tournament so far?

Interesting fact: 3 of the 4 semifinalists finished second in their respective groups.

I'm really glad, than Wales would be play with France  , because statistics of Celtic Nations (Wales, Ireland, Scotland) in matches against Tri Nations (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa) always create tears in my eyes.
