I love love LOVE my girl Thalia! I also adore Shakira, Juanes, queen Selena, Julieta Venegas and Paulina Rubio! Furtado's and Xtina's spanish stuff is also amazing! Oh and don't forget about LA REINA! Celia Cruz

Oh Gosh. Most of them suck haha, especially Ricardo Arjona, can't stand him. :evil:

I don't like Latin Pop very much but there are some exceptions, let's see:

Belinda: nothing.
Thalía: nothing.
Paulina: even though her vocal strength is close to nothing :lol:

she has a couple of good tracks: Lo Haré Por Ti, Y Yo Sigo Aquí and El Último Adiós (the official karaoke song here in my country haha).
Fanny Lu: nothing.
Anahí: NOTHING. Is this a joke?
Enrique Iglesias: Cuando Me Enamoro (nice song) and I Like It (so catchy, even though is autotuned to death). He is a very nice guy, quite funny but he has the vocal strength of a frog. :lol:

Some of her 90s songs are classics but are painful to hear. :lol:

Dulce María: nothing, she has a nice voice wasted with silly songs.
Belanova: nothing.
Reik: NOTHING. Ewww.
Selena: nice girl, very unique. I don't like that kind of music but it's sad she died so soon.

Gloria Estefan: No Te Olvidaré (great ballad) and Más Allá (nice song, very famous during Christmas here in my country).
Pitbull: NOTHING!! Another joke? :lol:

Ricky Martin: Tu Recuerdo (I can't believe she put out a song like this,

he really gained credibility with this song) and Lo Mejor De Mi Vida Eres Tú (nice song, very inspirational).
Laura Pausini: Entre Tú Y Mil Mares (amazing song, I love it), La Soledad (awe, it reminds me of the 90s :cry:

) and Bienvenido (wow, what a powerful song

).
Shakira: almost everything pre-crossover, all the singles from Pies Descalzos and ¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones? were amazing. I used to be a huge fan of hers back then. Some of my favorites: Inevitable (her best song IMO), Tú, Un Poco De Amor, Estoy Aquí, Suerte. Since Loba her music is a big joke IMO. :roll:

Juanes: Fíjate Bien (great song full of social protest

), Es Por Ti, Nada, A Dios Le Pido. Unfortunately, he's another Colombian singer whose music is going downhill.
Miguel Bosé: only Si Tú No Vuelves. My God, a masterpiece.
La Mala Rodríguez: I have no idea who she is.
Don Omar: NOTHING. Third joke. :lol:

Christina Aguilera: Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti (one of the best vocal performances I have ever heard).
Jennifer Lopez: Una Noche Más.
Maná: Vivir Sin Aire, Te Lloré Un Río, Rayando El Sol, En El Muelle de San Blas, Ángel de Amor. Everything they have released since 2006 sucks.
Marc Anthony: I don't like his music (I hate salsa music) but I like his cover of Así Como Hoy.
Nelly Furtado: Te Busqué.
Ricardo Arjona: NOTHING!! He's the most overrated and annoying singer in Latin music history.
Julieta Venegas: nothing. Yawn.

LOL ... Jarr268, you surely don't like Spanish music AT ALL I see... Anahi is extremely popular, same with Don Omar (Danza Kuduro), just because the music is in Spanish doesn't automatically it is crap AT ALL...
They've all put out extremely popular songs.... Thalia, Juanes, Belanova, Paulina, etc, etc... they're all massive and the true representation of Latino music, if it wasn't for them we'd probably be listening to some Regional crap from Peru, I don't know ... lol :lol:

All in all, I'm very proud of pop music in Latin America

Shakirrrra!! I am absolutely in love with all of her Latin/bilingual albums. My favourite tracks are Estoy Aqui, Si Te Vas, Moscas en la Casa, Quiero, Te Dejo Madrid, Antes de la Seis and Devocion.

Also love Christina's Mi Reflejo record and Nelly's Mi Plan - 'Feliz Cumpleanos' is my favourite song from that album!

I also when i was little would listen to alot of Tucanes De Tijuana, Luis Fonsi, Ivy Queen, Luney Tunez, Prince Royce, Selena, etc. coming from mexican parents, but i mean Daddy Yankee goes hard in his music, i really enjoy listening to that bro. And selena would always be played in the car when my mom would try to learn spanish haha.

@jpguy Well, I'm sorry but some Latin artists including ANY reggaeton singer/duo/group have put out such crap music that makes Spanish music look really really bad. :roll:

That's my opinion, there are some exceptions too. :wink:

Plus, we are full of balladists who are extremely boring: Ricardo Montaner, Yuridia, etc, I swear I'd fall asleep in one of their concerts. :oops:

Back on topic, I loved the first two albums of Moenia, they had a very innovative sound with great lyrics and videos. Manto Estelar is a masterpiece. :wink:

-Vuela, Vuela was a HUGE hit. It was highly critized because the lyrics supposedly promoted drugs.
