After a TWO YEAR LONG wait...
In the very first poll - held in 2008 -, Christina Aguilera walked out on top with a 100+ points lead over Madonna! Back in 2009, when the second poll was held Mariah Carey narrowly beat out Beyonce to walk away with the crown. Now, over two years later, the same contest is back with a different host, but with the same goal - to determine who UKMix's greatest female act is, in 2012.
Here are the rules. Read them closely:
¬ The minimum you can vote for is 20, the maximum you can vote for is 50 - I will not accept any lists with 19 or fewer votes - your list must include between 20 & 50 different acts
¬ Your #1 ranked act will receive 50 points, regardless of whether you send a 50 act list, and your #20 act will receive 31 points, and your #50 act will receive 1 point. Please aim to send a top 50 if you can though
¬ Acts are separate; i.e. Beyonce is separate from Destiny's Child, but you are allowed to vote for both, as they are separate acts, with separate careers
¬ An act is eligible providing they have released at least one studio album or single
¬ Much like with the two previous countdowns - bands and groups ARE allowed, providing they are all female. This means that Sugababes, Destiny's Child, TLC, and Girls Aloud can all be voted for, but Steps, S Club 7, Fleetwood Mac or No Doubt cannot be voted for, as they have male band members
¬ There will be no nominations round - you can send me straight away your votes, providing they meet the above criteria
