It's true. But it'd be the remix version, feature Justin Bieber. The music video is said to be another animal porn-like, this time they pick elephant, not horse anymore.Timmy94 wrote:Is it true that Radar is becoming the first single of Femme Fatale's re-release?
No dude. You lost he plot. Re-releases are always led by a new single from there-release...Tripolis wrote:Yeah, deluxe edition tracks.. Aren't they considered bonus tracks too? Haha lol. It wasn't in the standard edition.. So I guess it counts as 'Bonus' since only those who bought the Deluxe edition would get the tracktaxi wrote:I thought this was from the re-release of TEOM?Tripolis wrote:Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us

Anyway, the first song that comes to mind would be LiLo's Rumors.
This reinforces my theory that Nicki has no ear for melodies, and she's been pretty lucky that both Your Love and Super Bass gained attention from other places before she realized they were good enough.JimJim wrote:It seems so absurd that 'Super Bass' was only a bonus track, when it is pretty much the best thing she has ever done.
That's unique per albumTimmy94 wrote:Though it's not like those re-releases you named did worlds for the album.
Like making an album that hasn't been successful a hit all of a sudden.
I found out that an album by Jessica Simpson debuted at No. 10 and than strictly went down. Due to its re-release and a successful single, it returned to No. 2 and so mainly sold the album as it turned out to reach 3x Platinum in the end.
In those other cases, it's been more like a temporary push...
You are right that re-releases are usually led with one or more new singles (Taylor Swift's re-releases are the only exceptions that come to mind), and I also agree that re-release singles are a bit different from bonus track singles. However, bonus tracks are also a marketing strategy geared to getting more sales and higher revenue intake. Megafans may buy both versions of an album. Other fans may buy the regular edition, then later go on to the buy the bonus tracks as singles, which also boosts revenue. "Superbass" wouldn't have sold as much if it were available on the regular edition of Pink Friday. I myself bought Pink Friday, then many months later bought all the bonus tracks separately, much like you might buy re-release tracks separately. So in reality, it's not that different.preyan wrote:No dude. You lost he plot. Re-releases are always led by a new single from there-release...Tripolis wrote:Yeah, deluxe edition tracks.. Rihanna - Disturbia, Take A Bow
Mariah -DFAU
Chris Brown - Suerhuman
You need to research why re-releases are done mate. It's about more album sales, higher revenue intake....and that can onl be done with a re-release that has new music and new singles/videos.
It could.. but it hasn't become one...Alicepotter wrote:Up N Down - Britney

And if you're in Japan you get like 5 so people will spend more money on the official release instead of the cheap imports which are normally available a few weeks earlierStar wrote:Most of the time they just tag the last track on an album as a "bonus" to make the buyer feel like they're getting something special![]()
