Breaking Down for next single please!
LOL. This is such a funny post.

Anyway, I love the song but I'm not that fond of the video. Doesn't really suit the song well.

If you interpret my posts as hateful then it has probably more to do with your affiliation with Florence and her music more than my actual opinion. I have listened to her first single, her album, and her second single, seen her videos because she interests me, and with the hope that I shall discover something new that makes me enjoy her new music positive, If I don't, then I will write what I think anyway. New artistic works are meant to be considered personally. Don't call it hateful, it cannot sound more childish. (Sorry if I sound rude!)

Don't you think it's better for you to leave it alone though? I really dislike Kate Bush's latest era but I'm not in the thread posting about how much it's completely devoid of any real melody or interesting arrangements, and I don't want to mention how old she looks either.

It's just that "if you don't have anything nice to say...". I don't mean to be offensive either.

How is this not hateful?

Cactuar, your little argument got me curious about Florence + The Machine. I listened to their singles, read all the threads to the second album and read what you wrote there and totally agree.

Cactuar wrote:She doesn't need mindless stanning which I foresee in the near future.
I like to read different opinions in every thread because they keep the discussion alive. You both have valid points, valid arguments for your points of view and describe them in rather long posts. The passage you quoted from Vindrag, if you listen closely to the chorus of that live sung video you can hear what he was referring to - on the other hand, of course, she has a very unique voice and she obviously can sing very good, and she is a very good actress and a goddess. And what's wrong about stating all that. We should allow all other opinions because that's the spice of life and don't try to cut them off.
How r u doing? I am alright.

How is it hateful? My ears and eyes were bleeding after watching that, what's the point with reading through a whole thread with people only praising an artists recent output? I can't believe I'm sitting here discussing "hatred", in this context, it's so silly I don't even know where to begin. It would not surprise me though if this was another modern pop diva thread.

I apologize if I have sounded immature or rude. I will stay out of future Florence threads if I have nothing nice to say.

I apologize as well as what you said does make sense Chun, and instead of keeping negative opinions and only saying positive things I think I've been forgetting this is a forum meant for discussion... I think I need a break from this whole thing. See ya'll later.

The comment on YT

I'm black. This isn't racist. nothing wrong with portraying religion. Her faith helped her through a very dark time. Just because religion is being portrayed does not mean it is negative. People are shallow. It is very obvious that that's what it is. The dark shadow chasing her, her running trying to get away and finally falling into a church and finding some kind of peace. At the end, they're peforming a ritual on her and the dark spirit is? dying that's why hes writhing on the ground. Mind open?
Couldn't describe the video any better.

PS: Religion, is what people believe not a book.

It's so sad for me to see people arguing in a Florence thread/under a Florence video. :( I'm grateful to her as her songs (especially her previous album) helped me through a difficult phase of my life. I've listened to that album about a hundred times then and I felt like I wanted to marry her voice. I love her strange thoughts and the little stories she tells through her songs.

'No Light No Light' was not among my favourite Ceremonials tracks at the beginning but now I've grown to love it to bits. 8-) I'm so glad she exists.

You also, probably unintentionally, quoted my mind because I'm a little lazy to put my feelings into words!

This song was such a slow burner for me. It was ok at first, but now it's one of my favorite tracks by her. I think I like it more than "What the Water Gave Me" :o

Thankfully Florence is going to be performing it on The Jonathan Ross Show next Friday (10th January). It's only #555 on iTunes at the moment. That should give it a boost. It's still due for release on 15th January.

It surprises me that her singles are doing so badly this time around, even though I might not be the biggest fan of her new album era, I think she deserves the success much more than many other chart-toppers.

Isn't she performing on the Brit Awards as well?
