I'm pretty sure there are only 3-4 R&B tracks from Demi Lovato's latest CD. The rests are pretty much Pop.

Talk That Talk mostly uses Dancehall beats ("Roc Me Out", "Talk That Talk", "You Da One", etc) and it definitely falls under "R&B". Plus, some are very Urban ("Cockiness", "Birthday Cake").

Idk about GCH's album.

Gym Class Heroes isn't released until 2012 in the UK, so I believe it isn't eligible.

No idea who Demi Lovato is or what her music sounds like so you're going to have to make a judgement call yourself on that one.

I can't listen to every album and we always get stray votes for albums that are way off the genre. The countdown is only 20 albums so you would probably be the only one voting for someone who you, yourself is unsure of whether she belongs in the countdown or not, is it worth the vote?

I guess if Justin Bieber would be included on a countdown like this, then so would Demi, maybe?

I'll start compiling my votes soon! :)

Skyscrapper is as poppy as the Album gets. I donno, IMO it's pretty much modern R'n'b. Produced by Timbo.

It won't make the top 50 anyways

Justin Bieber's Christmas album is very R&B/Soul I'd say. "Mistletoe" is Reggae-ish, "Fa La La", "The Christmas Song" & "Only Thing I Ever Get For Christmas" are very old-school R&B/Soul, "Christmas Eve" is very Trey Songz/Chris Brown-ish R&B, "Drummer Boy" is Rap, the rest are Pop.

Edit: I just took another listen to Demi's album and surprisingly it sounded a lot more R&B than the first time I gave it a listen. If a Rihanna's/Jordin Sparks's album is allowed, then this one too I guess.

Demi Lovato's album hasn't been released in the UK yet, so it's ineligible anyway!

Sent in my votes. I was mildly surprised by my #1 and absolutely shocked that one of my fave artists didn't manage to crack my Top 3.

I've not been an RnB listener at all this year so I can't play! I've been an indie/rock and pop dude this year mainly!

Struggling to even come up with 20 decent albums from this year... are we allowed to submit less?

^ Yes.
You can submit up to 20 albums. This doesn't mean you have to, you can submit only 5 if you wish, but 20 maximum. If you submitted 7 (for example) then your #1 would only be worth 7 points.
I'm doing a top 10. I'll vote after the Young Jeezy album has leaked in a few days, hopefully.

I just voted, only did a top 5 compared to last year doing a top 20, I'm not quite convinced we even had 20 R&B albums release's this year, a lack of standouts if so.

Are albums that are released on download in the UK but not physically eligible?

I thought I had my list sorted and then Rebecca Ferguson and Anthony Hamilton released their albums!
