Oasis had 4 from (What's the Story) Morning Glory?
Some Might Say - Gold
Roll With It - Gold
Wonderwall - Platinum
Don't Look Back In Anger - Platinum
Their stand alone single Whatever released before Some Might Say was also Gold and their three singles after Don't Look Back In Anger...
D'You Know What I Mean - Platinum
Stand By Me - Gold
All Around The World - Gold
Not bad
Thanks!StephenN17 wrote:Didn't The Spice Girls have 4 Platinum from Spice? Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, 2 Become 1, Mama/Who Do You Think You Are.

Shops propably thought that 600k would be a number Talk That Talk will sell without problems as GGGB, Rated R and Loud also did it, so they already ordered this amount of albums...Loki0012 wrote:wow how can it be 2xp when its barely 500K yettada wrote:2x Platinum for Riri![]()

It's the same when Susan Boyles The Gift went 3xP in the US and sold less than 2 million. And it's going to take quit a few years to sell that.SLiM wrote:I am just curious how Rebecca Ferguson already has been certified platinum when her first week's sales were around 128,000 and the second week she was #7 in the mid week and the final sales aren't known yet. I thought platinum was for 300,000.
I am not trying to be argumentative but just trying to understand how the process works.
Thanks for any enlightenment!
Timmy94 I very much doubt that 21 will become the UK's best selling album. Just think of Shania Twain, or James Blunt - both sold huge amounts of an album very quickly but sales gradually slowed down.Timmy94 wrote:Highest certification of all time (along with Oasis' Morning Glory)Hafo wrote:Lots of certs! I have no doubts that it'll also turn out to be the best-selling album some days... This fast it already sold, it won't slow down!
Adele will be almost at 3.8million in a fortnight, never mind end of 2012. I personally don't think it will become the biggest selling album of all time, but I do think your predictions are a bit skewedEdWood wrote: ....you have to think if it gets to 3.8-3.9 million at the end of 2012 it will still be about 2 million sales behind Queen's Greatest Hits and have a mountain to climb. Plus all the other albums above here will continue to sell decent amounts on catalogue.
maybe they wait to certify it triple platinum because MX will sell in the 150k region just this week.. and this week isn't even the biggest sales week of the year.. if the album shows some consitency it can double what it sold so far in the coming 2 weeks.muse778 wrote:Again no 2x Platinum certification from coldplay for MX even though they have now actually sold well over 600k.
