No, it was an import single from Sweden.Indi wrote:I have a question for
Sun Is Shining [Import Single] (by Bob Marley vs. Funkstar De Luxe). The single is listed here
Is this the single in the album charts, really?
Or is this the album Keep On Moving by Funkstar De Luxe?
Best regards
Indi
You're right it is Bob Dylan's "Greatest Hits" not Volume 3.Indi wrote:I think, I found a mistake:
23.04.1988 99 Bob Dylan Greatest Hits Volume 3
This album was published =>1994
Question: What Dylan album was at #99???
Answer, I think Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits

If I make all corrections you are posted than I have no album at #30 for the 16th december 1978:kingofskiffle wrote:Hi,
For the first one you are correct and the run posted here is slightly in error. The problem of posting on a forum is that it's difficult to correct errors! The below are correct, as you say.

Well, 16 Dec 78 has tied positions at 34 - so Han is in error (I have the scan for this week).
However, again, my database has been corrected.
Correct runs below (not for Status Quo, who are above).

Thanks for spotting all of these and do please keep up the corrections!
Once finished I might go back and re-post the database again showing the corrected errors. If I do it'll be singles first though.
@SharonMawerSharonMawer wrote:I was waiting for some feedback about how (or whether) any changes would be welcomed. I have a further 80 errors to report up to the end of 1974 so far, but I will not post the & changes if there is a reason for your database not liking that symbol. However if you require, I do have the details of which ones are actually "and" and which ones are not.
Here are some more of the the 1960s errors I have noted. By all means, if anyone disagrees with me, please advise, I too have relied on regular trips to the British library and it is quite tiring to spend days at Colindale (not quite so bad at Kings Cross). The dates and positions are when the title was a new entry but obviously applies to all subsequent weeks
20.5.61 - Peggy Lee - The title at no.18 should be Best of Peggy Lee Vol 1
11.11.61 - no.15 is The Best Of Barber And Bilk volume II (roman numerals)
21.4.62 - no.16 is The Best Of Barber And Bilk. There is no volume mentioned
9.6.62 - no.18 is a new entry by Duane Eddy called
$1,000,000.00 Worth Of Twang Vol 2 (not a re-entry for vol 1)
20.10.62 - no.15 title is Nat King Cole Sings/George Shearing Plays (how is your database on forward slashes)
15.12.62 - no.12 Shirley Bassey title is Let's Face The Music, there is no "And Dance"
29.12.62 - no.14 Frank Sinatra - title is Sinatra And Swingin Brass (no G)
18.5.63 - no.20 Despite starring Tommy Steele, the artist on Half A Sixpence should be Original London Cast
19.10.63 - no.20 - Eddie Cochran - title is Singin To My Baby (no G)
4.1.64 - no.17 Kathy Kirby (although the title has an & rather than an And, it is different to what you have listed and should be Sings 16 Hits From Stars & Garters
22.2.64 - no.17 - same as At The Drop Of A Hat, At The Drop Of Another Hat should be credited to the recoginised duo of Flanders & Swann
27.6.64 - no.16 Does your database like the symbol +
the title should be The Bachelors + 16 Great Songs
27.2.65 - no.17 - PJ Proby title is I Am P.J Proby
27.3.65 - no.16 The Searchers the title is Sounds Like Searchers (there is no The)
25.9.65 - no.12 Roy Orbison title is There Is Only One Roy Orbison
23.10.65 - no.11 Dusty Springfield title is Everything's Coming Up Dusty
20.11.65 - no.17 Gene Piney title is Looking Thru The Eyes Of Love (with a final G)
8.1.66 - no.20 Spencer Davis Group title is Their First LP
22.1.66 - no.14 Spencer Davis Group this title should be The Second Album
1.10.66 - no.28 Byrds - title is Fifth Dimension
22.10.66 - no.28 Cliff Bennett & Rebel Rousers - title is Drivin You Wild
12.11.66 - no.17 Rolling Stones after the kerfuffle on the plural of the Mike Oldfield album, I made absolutely certain that the title is Big Hits (High Tide And Green Grass)
And finally for tonight
Although there was no Record Retailer (and therefore no chart on 31.12.66) there was a chart published in Record Mirror dated that week which the OCC have agreed is canonical and definitive. All the chart books actually agree with this too. Although there was only a top 30, it was different to the chart of 24.12.66 and places the Seekers (Come The Day) at a chart high of no.2 and the Rolling Stones (Big Hits)at a chart high of no.3. I do have a copy of this chart (not scanned) if you wish me to post it here.
I will post more of my findings hopefully tomorrow

The same for 15 August 1970:

This must be the 65 & 66 or?
