I'd never heard your #1, just listened and quite like it! Good new entry for Pixie Lott.

Same. Just gave your #1 a listen and I really like it, plus the video is amazing.

That Arcade Fire song is also great!

I like them all apart from the Arcade Fire one which I don't know, but my favourites are Lana Del Rey, Scissor Sisters vs Krystal Pepsy & James Vincent McMorrow.

Quite a few I need to familiarise myself with in your list this week, my favourite is the new one from Scissors.

Was Sprawl II released as a single or something? I saw it in a couple of other weeklies too.

Fantastic chart - dunno half of those though!
Had no high expectations from Scissor Sisters and yet their new one sounds good.

Firstly, thanks for all the comments... almost a record! Also glad that some of you have taken time to check out the links (& like them!)

Set for release in the UK on 13th February. :)

Strangely, I bought the album early last year and have never even noticed how brilliant this song is until the past few weeks!

I only like Cher Lloyd this week, it's her only single so far that I actually do like.

Woo for the new entires from Alexandra Burke and Emeli Sandé. I didn't know that Band Of Skulls track, but I like it. Think I've heard it on Radio 1 a few times before.

It's a pity James Vincent McMorrow and Lana Del Rey dropped out, but I'm glad 'Shady Love' made your top 5.

hmmm...well...there's actually nothing for me to quote on this latest chart.

...BUT I still haven't checked out those tunes from Alex Burke and Cher Lloyd, and I've loved most of their previous singles...so if they're still on your chart next week, it may be a different story! ;)

Woo again for the top 2, shall check out the other songs I don't know.

Emeli - Not too bad, but I think I prefer Heaven & Daddy to this.
Alexandra - Not that fussed, sorry.
Arcade Fire - Can't say I'm fussed on this either, a bit boring tbh.
Cher - Not listening to her cos I can't stand the 2 tunes I've heard from her and I doubt I'm gonna like this one...
Band of Skulls - Love both I Know What I Am + Death By Diamonds and Pearls from them, so was looking forward to this one...it's ok, but I prefer the other 2 songs I mentioned.

It's definitely my favourite single of Cher's to date - the other two got annoying quickly.

urbanmusik wrote:I didn't know that Band Of Skulls track, but I like it. Think I've heard it on Radio 1 a few times before..
Yeah, it is playlisted; this band are one of my favourite new discoveries. Glad you like it too.

If you haven't already, you should check them out - I think you will like them. Alexandra is in a similar style to Rihanna/Calvin and it's more of the same from Cher, only better.

I should check out some of their previous stuff - I'm only familiar with this one and "Devil Takes Care Of It's Own" which is also awesome. Thanks for checking out the links by the way - shame you didn't really like them though.

Cheers for all the comments, new chart up later. :)

I haven't been able to get into this Gotye track, but very pleased to see Flo Rida, Scissors and DJ Fresh. Also really struggling to love the SHM track and I usually really like their stuff.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay for Gotye getting to #1 again.

Heard that DJ Fresh song, so I won't comment (it's better than Louder IMO)...as soon as the Arctics song kicked in, I knew it sounded familiar since I've heard that one before too. Good song actually. (There we go, better comments than last week!)
