Artist songs that turn up on more than one album

It doesn't have to be the same exact recording of a song, but close enough. Songs by an artist who didn't just see fit to appear on one album, but turn up on yet another by same artist.

Some I can think of:
ABBA - Ring Ring (Ring Ring/Waterloo)
Queen - Seven Seas Of Rhye (Queen/Queen II)
Celine Dion - Have You Ever Been In Love (A New Day Has Come/One Heart)
Britney Spears - Radar (Blackout/Circus)
Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine (G.I.T./Dancing Machine)
Pointer Sisters - I'm So Excited (So Excited/Break Out)

Girls Aloud - Jump

It's on the both the re-release of Sound Of The Underground and What Will The Neighbours Say?

Rihanna also has If It's Lovin That's You Want on her debut, then a Part 2 of it on A Girl Like Me, if that counts.

I remember Maverick included Michelle Branch's debut single "Everywhere" on her second album Hotel Paper even though it had already been on her first album The Spirit Room.

Always thought it was such an obvious marketing ploy.

I just thought of another one, this is really cheap.

Liberty X's X album. It only had 10 original new tracks, the last 4 tracks were 4 of their previous singles. It was so cheap and tacky, only fans would be buying the album, so of course they'd already have the singles  I never understood the point!

"Love The Way You Lie".
First on Eminem's "Recovery", then on Rihanna's "Loud" as a "part 2".

Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you":

1 - Merry Christmas
2 - The remixes (a new urban version)
3 - Merry Christmas II you
4 - Under the mistletoe (Justin Bieber's)

...and that's not counting the greatest hits package

Why do artists put songs in their new albums which had already been included in previous albums?

I'm pretty sure there are different reasons for different artists. Britney did it with Radar because her management had signed a contract with the songs producers, stating it would be a single.

When it wasn't released as a single off 'Blackout', they had to add it to 'Circus' as a bonus track so they could release it as a single sometime during that era.

I dunno about everyone else though.

The A New Day Has Come version of Sorry For Love is one of my favourite Dion songs of all-time - EPIC tune.
