Less dark?

Yeah, I was expecting that from the trailers, but nice with a change. Although I liked the darkness in TP, the storyline and the dark atmosphere is mostly what made that game most interesting to me.

Really curious to experience the story in SS too, I hope it is as detailed and deep as TP's.

The story is not that good. From what I got, (I'm somewhere after the half of the game) you're there just to save Zelda. But I guess a greater good is behind all this, since she kinda willingly leaves with that weird chick that appears, when you find her for the first time!

I struggled to do my list, but for different reasons than you! I found it hard remembering 40 games that were worthy! :lol:

I have not played the game yet, but I will start soon! B! You're playing with me? This bonus CD is amazing, the opening with Spirit Tracks broke my heart into pieces at once! :cry:

I have listened to millions of orchestral versions of classic Zelda tunes, and eventually it began to sound less impressive and just the same.. but this CD...

They've really outdone themselfs!

It seems that everything I'm doing these days besides from studying is playing this game! Yes! MY ADVENTURE HAS BEGUN! I started playing last week, and I was hoping that you would play it now as well B.

How's it going for everyone else who's playing this?

I feel like I'm entering a church each time I start my adventure log. There's so much that I want to praise, but I'll leave that for another time.

At the moment I've just saved outside the Earth Temple! I'm obsessed with hunting bugs and treasure items (the bug hunting in TP never felt this "elating" [if that's a word]). I also love the characters, they feel so real, and you develop quite a personal bound with many. Not that you meet them a lot, but the way they talk and their facial expressions.. it feels like Link truly wants to help them. Which is very important.

And before I end this. I must give credit to the item sales man in the Bazaar. He has made me laugh 1.000.000 times already. I usually stop by at his place, only to grab an item, and then change my mind - only to see the look on his face when he first gets angry and then starts laughing hysterically :lol:

Same goes for the fortune-teller (is it a man or a woman) - hilarious character, especially if you're standing in front of the "Stamina Potion" (green potion) and you can see how she or he looks at you :lol:

And finally the potion saleswoman.. I love her facial expressions and what she says... Especially the one about "I have no time for window-shoppers" I think it is :lol:

and her constant hand-clapping sound so silly too.

I LOVE THIS GAME!

I just defeated Pyroclastic Fiend: Scaldera!! So much fun!! And the cutscene afterwards was very emotional :cry:

I think I'm starting to understand what's happening, but I won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't played it yet. The Earth Temple was fun.. I forgot that you can actually bomb walls! :lol:

It's a key element in the series which hasn't been used very wisely in the latest games, which must be the reason why I wandered around a while without even trying to blast that wall, which I thought looked a bit mysterious. Gahh. :lol:

The whole Eldin area was fun!!

Moved on now to the Lanayru province, I was expecting a "Lake Hylia" sort of landscape!

This is so intriguing! I love the updated Beetle! This whole game so far is amazing! I'm just in grief now because I can't play it in 2 days because of uni.!

I think it's around 35-40 hours

Depends on how you play it! I've certainly spent about 60-80 hours, because I focus so much on side quests and exploring.. but the game overall.. 40 hours maximum.
