UKMix Sound of 2012 (#1 REVEALED!)

This was a success last year so I thought we could try it again and find out who UKMix believes will be the best newcomer of 2012!

Well I think our "jury" (all UKMixers) should first nominate up to 10 new artists that they want to feature in the Sound of 2012 poll. The top 10 artists will then continue on into the shortlist and then people will vote for their favourite from the top 10.

Rules:

- The artist must be releasing their debut album in 2012 in the UK. We can scrap the top 20 single rule the BBC use but they MUST be releasing their debut album in 2012 in the UK.

-Try and have a nice mix of male/female artists and lets see who will become UKMIX's Artist to look out for in 2012!

PM me your nominations! You can nominate up to 10 but you don't have to use the 10 if you don't want! And you don't need to send them in any particular order.

Finally, you can not vote for any of the artists that made the longlist in 2011.

I would prefer Neon Hitch more if she did music similar to her viral covers. Hard hip-hop beats with the pop vocals, instead of the Ke$ha/Britney esque stuff she does! Gurl gotta become unique! :lol:

How should we know which artists release their debut albums in 2012?
The release schedules are still very empty and it already happened that artists announced a release just few weeks before it arrived in the shops, so I think it's a kinda tough thing to do, especially as you don't know much from those "newcomers" which are just about to release their first songs...

I'm a bit annoyed I missed this during the nominations round, but basically all of my favourite artists made it, so I'm good. I would have liked Tribes to make the longlist, but they wouldn't have even made my top three to be honest.
