iTunes will offer an exclusive global pre-order of an 18 track Deluxe Edition of MDNA including one exclusive remix from Madonna’s new album. The bonus remix will be available from Friday, February 3rd through Monday, February 6th only. During this time period the album will be available for $9.99 and fans will also receive the digital single “Give Me All Your Luvin’” immediately. This single is also exclusive to iTunes during this limited time. At launch, the offer can be found at www.iTunes.com/Madonna.
Ok
I dont understand Interscope and their ugly commercial strategies. Guess they learned NOTHING from Born this Ways mess. Why to gift GMAYL with the pre orders?. That will kill the sales of the single.

Don't they gift the remix and not the single?

1) they make more money from the album then from singles.
2) it´s only for 3 days, so it´s not gonna kill the single at all.

I read it as GAYL remix for free with album, but not GAYL original. Nope?

GALY Remix will be free when you buy the album, but the original single won't be free.

That's how I read it, and it's just for a few days. Not sure if this for US only though.

Let's face it some hardcore fans will buy both the album and single anyway, the remix won't change that.

Other fans (including me) and the casual buyer will not buy the single if they buy the album. So once again the giveaway won't change anything. I remember I got the "Music" single for free when I bought the "Music" album and I gave it away to my friend after one listen. Most of us are not interested in remixes that much so we don't need the singles (especially now that most singles are just one song). Their strategy is fine

imo, It reads like they are talking about the official version of the single, not the remix, but yeah, maybe you both are right, it makes more sense. :P

Yeah, and also how they dealt with Lana del Reys singles (giving away for free Born to Die and stuff like that). Those guys at Interscope are using some weird marketing tools.

I think Madonna will sell between 165-190k copies of her lead single in the first week with potentially 5-10 million impressions which will give her another top 3 hit in the US.

album projection:
US first week: 215,000
UK first week: 140,000
Japan first week: 60,000

It's not like they are giving the album away for less than $1.

Weird marketing tools which have somehow made Lana Del Rey big before her release and got them the 2nd biggest selling album of 2011 ^^ I think they're pretty smart! Just see what happens I guess :D Looking forward to the album!

Lets not summon the darkness over here

Do you think GMAYL can debut at #1? I mean, the video is being previewed at Idol, she will have the video out by Friday and, of course, the middle time of the Super Bowl. She would need to sell close to 350k in those 3 days (a feat that only Gaga and Britney have achieved, iirc) to debut at #1. It would be amazing if she achieves that!

I think #1 in US is very unlikely even with AI and the Superbowl.

yeah, finally, they hopefully will target all eyez on US market. No.1 on Hot 100 would be magical, she needs to top that chart, it is about time she scored it again, it's been so long since "Music" domination!

Don't know yet, will find out on Monday. If the single released on a Friday in the UK - It will be very hard to #1.

I think he was talking about the single chart!!

Btw whoever think GAYL will reach the top in Usa is a deluded, as said already sevral times the song at its best will get the top 10.
There's only one Queen
and that's MADONNA.
