I don't think Janet would do it.

I guess I'm in the minority here because I actually like Paula and Nicole seems so nice.

Mariah = Hell no, she'll get annoying too quickly.

Kelly Rowland = Yes, I think she has the personality to pull it off.

Janet = uhh, no.

Daily Mail website says 'Simon has made no secret of his desire to get Mariah Carey on the show' - would be amazing, doubt she'd do it though.

I'm glad Scherzy's gone though, she didn't do it for me. I love her music, just not her as a judge. I still think Paula didn't deserved to be sacked, she's a veteran in music and in music talent shows, she earned her place on the panel.

Somewhere suggested Nick Cannon as a replacement for Steve...

Hell no!

Nick and Mimi gotta keep their brands separate! But, Nick would have been excellent for X-Factor as a stand alone host.

Everything about this show is an embarrassment, the judges, the ratings, the host ... even the winner (she has a good voice but what about this "x-factor" Simon has been yapping about for years, the girl looks more boring than Leona)

I reckon Gwen Stefani would make an incredible judge. And she could use the show to promote No Doubt's return! That'd be brilliant.

that is actually a great suggestion! Gwen Stefani would be awesome!

I think Mariah Carey seems very likely to join, Mariah and Kelly Rowland would be a great addition.

Me too, they've had their day hence their decline in popularity. At least have a break from them for a while.

I gave up watching this after a few episodes but not because of the judges. I just feel like the whole format has just been exhausted beyond belief.

Who said Melanie's boring

Have you heard Melanie sing a Pepsi commercial dance version of Respect?

There was nothing boring about that, and this is coming from a Marcus Canty fan.

This sums up X-Factor USA:

"To me, they were victims of their own hype," says David Scardino, entertainment specialist at ad agency RPA. "If you look at the actual numbers, it did really well as a new program. It's perceived as an underperformer because Cowell said it would do American Idol-type numbers."

FOX wont cancel one of their highest rated shows. It does better than most of its scripted stuff. FOX is pleased with the ratings but not Simon.

'He wants nothing but the best': Simon Cowell has Mariah Carey in his sights as he plans new line-up for X Factor USA

After the cull of judges and presenters from the X Factor USA, it's hardly surprising that Simon Cowell wants a world-class diva sitting on that panel this year.
But even he might have set his sights somewhat high after it was reported that the music mogul is after Mariah Carey.
Cowell is believed to be trying to convince the singer to be one of the judges on the second series of the show after she was unable to take part last year having just given birth to her twins.

A source told The Mirror: 'Simon wants nothing but the best for the X Factor - and Mariah is the best.'
But her husband Nick Cannon is believed to not be very keen on the idea and indicated that she will turn down the role.
He is reported as saying: 'Why would my wife want to be on a show like that? For somebody who has a legendary career, I don't know why they would.'
Yesterday it was revealed that Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones have been unceremoniously dumped from the X Factor USA after just one season.

'She could be a panellist again if she wanted to - 100 per cent. I don't know if she would. I think she probably misses me.'
His former darling Paula Abdul confirmed yesterday she had also been fired from the panel in a desperate shake-up by the mogul and the show's producers.

'Yes, it’s true; I won’t be returning to The X Factor next season,' Abdul said in a statement today.

'I’ve learned through my longevity in this industry that business decisions often times override personal considerations.

She continued: 'Simon is, and will remain a dear friend of mine and I’ve treasured my experience working this past season. I want nothing more than for The X Factor to exceed ALL of their wildest dreams. This truly has been a blessing and I am most grateful.'
Cowell, who first worked with Abdul on American Idol, wants to re-boot the show after its ratings fell short of expectations when it was launched last year.
The decision to dismiss Abdul has surprised many, given how hard Cowell worked to secure her on the panel.

SIMON COWELL'S STATEMENT IN FULL

'I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year.

'We had a lot of fun making the show together and importantly, we found some real talent and stars.

'You do develop friendships with the people you work with and Paula, in particular, is a very close friend and I expect to be working with her on another project in the near future.

'I'm sure all three are going to have massive success in what they do next , but now is the time to thank them all for everything they did last year.'

It took several months for her contract to negotiated and she only closed her deal hours before the first televised audition.

'You just have to get that chemistry, and she’s right,' he said at the time. 'I’ve never found anyone better than her.'
Both Abdul and Scherzinger were embroiled in the controversy surrounding the shock elimination of 13-year-old frontrunner Rachel Crow.
Cowell hinted at a major changes on the show last month when he was quoted as saying: 'We change these shows all the time.'

And he said in a statement today: 'I want to say a massive thank you to Paula, Nicole and Steve for being part of The X Factor last year. I'm sure all three are going to have massive success in what they do next , but now is the time to thank them all for everything they did last year.'

Although the X Factor performed solidly in the ratings, hovering around the 12 million mark, it did not attract the same kind of huge viewing figures regularly attained by Cowell's former show American Idol.
Cowell had also recently admitted that that he may have been overconfident when it came to the American version of his hit show, after ratings did not reach his 20 million prediction.
He said he became ‘a bit too cocky' last year and admitted the slumping viewing figures had 'put my ego in check'.
Record executive L.A. Reid, who has previously worked with Mariah Carey, Pink, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, survived the cut.

I love the way Simon has shifted blame for the disappointing first season. Firing virtually everyone else but keeping himself on the panel.

It's like on Britain's Got Talent when he has returned to "save" the show. I can't believe he has done so well for himself with so little talent himself... though his best talent would appear to be making money!

I don't think it was the best idea. American Idol is starting to lose steam (even though it has proven it can survive without Simon... its just run its course after a decade IMO), and plus it is the type of phenomenon that imitations can't duplicate. I know X Factor is massive in the UK, but "Pop Idol" only lasted two or three seasons there, it's been AI that was the US equivilent, not the US X Factor.

If I were a big US celebrity I wouldn't touch this show with a barge pole! It has nothing but bad press attached to it.

I would hate that to happen.

Simon treats women disgustingly on the show. Plus Beyonce isn't Kelly Rowland with the typical black girl street talk... she'd come off nice but dull.

Such gullible fools up in here!!!
In fact, while y'all believing every crap twitter, Facebook message or Daily News article, I'd just heard in my mind that Blue Ivy Carter was asked to judge this year!!!
Beyonce has too much common sense to judge this mess of a show!!!!

Nicole as an artist is greats but she was a pathetic judge if you ask me. Very shallow. Trying to come across like the lovely virgin next door.
I always wondered how Steve got the hosting job with his accent. Americans are very "fussy" about things like reality tv shows and accents, etc. Not in a bad way, just their personal preferences.
As for Paula, I wish she could have stayed!!! I liked her!

And do they really want us to believe that Nicole chose to leave to concentrate on her music career! In America...WHAT music career????
