WEEK 4

albums selling over 250,000 - this year - 1 / last year - 0
albums selling over 100,000 - this year - 3 / last year - 9
total albums sales - this year - 21.34m (+2.4%) / last year - 20.84m

The David Crowder Band's album: "Give Us Rest" has sold almost 69,000 copies this year, but is not included on this list below as over 27,000 of those sales are from christian outlets which SoundScan excludes from YTD/RTD totals.

Key: Albums in blue are 2012 releases, albums in green are catalog.

Until the next big release is out, 21 will probably have an edge of more then a million copies ahead of it. 21 is certainly going to be one of the Top 5 selling albums of 2012, and with a little luck maybe even #1.

Yeah I know this year seems a bit slow, but looking back at 2011, the biggest selling "new year" release by week 6 was the Decemberists on sales of just 159,000.
