not familiar with a lot of stuff in your Top 10, but I'm glad to see "Elephant" making its way up your chart! I just gave it a listen a few days ago and have really been loving it since. same goes for "Somebody That I Used To Know", actually! :D

pity that "Kiss The Stars" is under-performing on your chart though, I much prefer it to "What Do You Take Me For?".

Yep!

Thanks for all the kind comments, my laptop charger is broken and therefore I can't access my spreadsheet to find out what I've played most this week.

I'll update tomorrow based on what I think I've played most over the past week. If that turns out to be inaccurate when I get my laptop back, I'll just adjust the song's position the next week in accordance to my mistake.

Commentary
Yasmin holds onto the #1 spot, while Lana Del Rey climbs to #2 on her release week with 'Born To Die' as 'Million Dollar Man' and 'Radio' debut in the top 40 as her album leaked.

Yasmin debuts at #4 with an acoustic version of her song '5 Minutes', which is the highest new entry despite not being released as a single. Frank Ocean, John Legend and Carly Rae Jepsen make the top 10 with their new singles, while Cover Drive make the top 20 and a track from Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf's 'Slumdon Bridge' EP just misses out.

Elsewhere there's re-entires from Rihanna and Dr. Dre, while a retro entry from the Foo Fighters makes a massive climb into the top 10, while some early 2000s R&B re-enters thanks to Kelis and Mya.

In a chart with plenty of big drops, DJ Fresh and Maverick Sabre buck the trend with notable climbs. StooShe, Ed Sheeran and Rihanna are surprising drop outs.....expect to see them re-enter soon.

Sorry this is so late, I got my laptop back last night and decided to post the chart based on what I'd played the most. Since I didn't have a laptop all week, tomorrow's chart will not be based on what I played the most - I'll just make estimations etc.

I just decided to add the song to my Itunes after randomly coming across it on Itunes. I hadn't heard it in so long, it's such a good track though. My chart always has random entries that I get obsess with for a week or two.

mostfierce2009 wrote:not a good week for Queen B...Party dropped out...and Love On Top decreasing..
Yeah. :( At least all her singles from '4' reached #1 on my chart last year though. ;)

Not until the summer apparently. :( She originally planned to put it out in January, but she was still recording then. Hopefully she's close to finishing it now.

Commentary
Redlight climb up to #1 with the 90s dance inspired 'Get Out My Head', while Drake also repeaks at #2 as 'The Motto' climbs back up the chart. Yasmin falls to #3, while M.I.A. debuts at #4, ahead of her feature on Madonna's 'Give Me All Your Luvin', which enters at #7.

Lana Del Rey stays in the top 5 with 'Born To Die', while her two album which debuted last week fall off the chart. Rebecca Ferguson reaches a new peak of #6 with 'Too Good To Lose' after falling last week, while UK songstress Delilah debuts with yet another non-single as 'The Gospel', off her '2am - 4am' mixtape debuts at #9 shortly after 'Never Be Another' off the same mixtape.

Yasmin's album track '5 Minutes' falls out of the top 10 along with Frank Ocean, joining new entries from Labrinth and Digital Soundboy DJ B.Traits in the top 15. Other new entries include XL signee William Earl Beal, M83, Chris Brown, CREEP and another album track from Azealia Banks.

'Swim Good', 'Love On Top' and 'Next To Me' are the only non-movers on the chart as the Arctic Monkeys, Maverick Sabre and Alexandra Burke all make small climbs. General Fiasco make a substantial climb of 8 places to a new peak of #22 with 'Don't You Ever', while Carly Rae Jepsen, Professor Green, DJ Fresh, Tribes, James Vincent McMorrow and Ed Sheeran all suffer significant drops.

--

* I decided to put links to the whole top 40 in due to a lot of people not knowing songs in my chart. So check out whatever songs you want, plus this week's #1 and 'Light Up (The World)' if you want to know what my #1s sound like. Plus they're really good lol. - From now on I'll post links to the new entries every week.
