So, Miley's your fave of the last two batches?

I'm not a massive fan of "Cheers", but the use of the Avril sample is definitely pretty interesting. if her label hadn't been in such a rush to start the Talk That Talk era, I think it could've become an even bigger hit than it was.
speaking of the Talk That Talk era, "We Found Love" = <3 <3 <3. definitely one of Rihanna's best singles...actually, it's a very stronger contender for my ABSOLUTE favorite Rihanna single ever.
I don't love "Mr. Know It All" quite as much as I did when it first came out, partially because I discovered several better songs on Stronger, but it's still enjoyable.
I really didn't like "Hard" on first listen, mainly because I was expecting Rihanna to follow up GGGB with an album full of songs in the vein of "Don't Stop The Music" and "Disturbia". of course, I've grown to really appreciate "Hard" and Rated R.
"Two More Lonely People" = fantastic. should've been a single!
You're welcome. You've introduced me to so many great new songs/artists that for me to introduce you to one measly little track is nothing.
I'm actually embarrassed that "We Found Love" ended up so high seeing as I kinda loathe it now.

Papi - Great song, very underrated and deserved "On The Floor" type of success as it's much better. Not her best though
Get Back - Great and one of the best tracks on "Blackout". Should have been released as a single
Piece of Me - A great song and I'm sad that it flopped as a single.
Obsessed - A good Mariah song though it's far from her best. Not the best track from "Memoirs..." too, and it's a wrong choice selecting this as the lead single. The video is a little meh, but it's one of Mariah's best videos.
I loathe "Roman In Moscow", "Your Love Is My Drug". Haven't heard "No Parade" and "Release Me". "Hot as Ice" and "All The Lovers" are decent but they are all not my type of songs.
From #70-#61:
My Dilemma - A good Selena Gomez song though not as great as "Love You Like A Love Song" or "Who Says". Selena is my favourite Disney artist of all-time and her latest album is kind of good but still abit teenage-ish.
Fly - My second favourite Nicki track after "Super Bass". Rihanna's feature in the song really helps to make the song better and it's someone inspirational. Good track and the video for this is decent.
Cheers (Drink To That) - It's very infectious at the start and I got easily addicted to this song but after overplaying it I realised this was not a good song at all (same for "You Da One"). The video is very cheapskate too and it's one of Rihanna's worst videos IMO.
Someone Like You - My favourite song of 2011! It's also one of my favourite ballads of all-time and Adele's really had a phenomenal year. "Someone Like You" will surely become a classic in time to come (along with "Rolling In The Deep"). The fact that this song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks admist all the generic dance-pop tunes just proves how amazing this song is.
I Need A Doctor - One of my favourite rap tunes of 2011. I especially like Skylar Grey's verse as I think it really stands out. Eminem's rapping is much better than Dre's too and it is very easy to distinguish them in this song (usually, I can't distinguish who is rapping what in a rap duet).
We Found Love - Vastly overrated but a great song, easily Rihanna's best lead single so far. It topping the Hot 100 for 11 weeks was undeserved too IMO as it's too similar to many dance-pop tunes. It has an amazing video however and that video is in my top 5 videos of 2011.
Mr. Know It All - Not one of my favourite Kelly singles but this was still quite good. I like the lyrics as it's quite inspirational in some ways. I prefer "What Doesn't Kill You" to be the lead single as compared to this though as "What Doesn't Kill You" would have been a massive hit if it was the lead single (much bigger than it is now).
I've already said how I feel about Swift, dislike "Hard" and have always found it overrated and I hate Miley Cyrus in general.
Whoa! Thanks for taking the time to write such an in-depth review!
I agree with you that "Papi" deserved the success "On The Floor" got. Personally, I think it's the better song.
"Get Back" is incredible, there's no doubt about it, but I just don't think it would've worked out well as a single when there were so many tracks on
Blackout that were better single options.
And yes, Eminem's verses on "I Need A Doctor" totally
make the song. Even though he was supposed to be the featured act, he ended up being the main event.

Oh, and you think "We Found Love" is RiRi's best lead single? *Wonders if Tripolis and Paul are hearing the same song I'm hearing*
You should definitely check out "No Parade" and "Release Me".

So, I guess all the other songs are irrelevant?
