Tensnake was the house tune of 2010. *took you a year to discover it!*

I liked the Pegasus Afterhours mix of Finish Line, not that one you mentioned.

Lamb great. Sats OK. LOWB good, Beth great.

Heard it for the 1st time last summer while watching the film "The Kids Are All Right". Cool pop/rock/dance track, so catchy that it made top 10 of 2011.

One of the best UK's #1s of 2011, Sian's vocal made it immense and the video made the song my soundtrack of Summer 2011. Perfect tune.

The debut song for Delilah and my favourite C&S song ever. I kinda may connect with the video for some personal reasons which made the song even more special for me. Immense tune.

#7. nero - promises

Image

peak: 1

Best dance debut of 2011. From a bit disappointing and average debut single and better follow up "Guilt" to the 3rd single Nero has been releasing better and better material. This is BEST UK #1 of 2011 and best drum'n bass song of 2011.

#5. florence + the machine - take care

Image

peak: 1

5 weeks on chart

Code: Select all
Only 5 weeks was enough to put it inside top 5 of 2011 (RUN: 1-1-1-1-1-). First, I've heard Drake and Rihanna version which I found fantastic, then someone told me that Florence has recorded the cover of their song.... after first hearing, I was like "Florence's version is the most incredible cover version even been recorded and surely won't be topped for long long time". After like thousand plays, zillions facebook shares, I am still impressed how the song is improved and put on the highest level of music greatness.

#3. the irrepressibles - in this shirt

For 3 best songs of 2011 I've chosen the songs that bring the unique feelings every time I've heard them.

First one, "In This Shirt" with the most controversial video I've seen in long long time. The weirdness of the video and the beauty of the song make me feel so calm, it's like taking the psychedelic drug... the music just surrounds you and breath you in.
